Looks like there's a little concern over the 2011 geek moviestravaganza.

More importantly, look at the list of titles coming out next year. Look at it:
Thor (May 6)
Priest (May 13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (May 20)
Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom (May 27)
X-Men: First Class (June 3)
Super 8 (June 10)
Green Lantern (June 17)
Rise of the Apes (June 24)
Cars 2 (June 24)
Transformers: Dark of the Moon (July 1)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II (July 15)
Captain America: The First Avenger (July 22)
Cowboys and Aliens (July 29)

Shocked

I'm going to rent temporary living quarters at my local theatre, or just buy a season pass for their biggest screen.

Tron: Legacy Triptych and Diptych

Martin Sheen will play Uncle Ben in the Spider-Man reboot (there's also talk of Sally Fields possibly coming on as Aunt May)

Final Voyage of the Dawn Treader Trailer

Dorothy of Oz Concept Art

Surprise, surprise, those Hasbro board game movies are causing problems for Universal

And let's cap off with the story I've been expecting (and dreading) for years: there's a Toxic Avenger remake in the works... ::shudder::

Is that the Inception "BRAAahm!" music I'm hearing in the beginning, or are the memes just worming around in my head?  Huh?

I see they're applying the harsh lessons Lucas taught them a decade ago.  Roll Eyes

Two more photos of Jason Momoa as Conan

I mentioned in passing to my missus that they were making a Battleships movie. She couldn't understand why, until I told her they had cast Alexander Skarsgård and he would be wearing a naval uniform. That was all she needed to hear.

Let's be honest, they could use this image on the poster and still sell tickets Tongue

You know a few people have been complaining about the choice of conan etc but if I recall correctly from the original description, Momoa (apart from the size) is closer to the characters colouring and facial structure than Arny.
I don't know what to think about the board-game films...Magic the gathering I can get,all the other seem...weird choices.(they could have bought Wizards of the coast material for instance)

clue would probably be an exception to any rule about making boardgames into movies.

Clue was done back in 1985, with some noticeable names at the time.....

Clue also has a plot. Battleship and the others... not so much.

It's hysterical. Genuinely worth tracking down, AstroVal. It's one of those movies where you really sense that the whole cast is having a blast, and you're probably seeing take 47 of every shot because they keep busting each other up.
