I got around to seeing Duncan Jones' "Moon" starring Sam Rockwell. It's a sci-fi character piece that's probably more akin "2001" and "THX1138" on some levels. It's very good, I gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

In case you haven't heard, Duncan Jones is the son of David Bowie. Jones' new project "Source Code" looks promising as well.

I was iffy about Cop Out a first, but it looks hilarious. I do think he should have gone with the original title, though (A Couple of Dicks).

Brief Cameron Interview about the Science of Avatar: Hint that Cameron has a reason for the Na'vi looking like humans (other than it being a good marketing decision).

Stories are starting to come out saying that Goyer has begun work on Batman 3's script with Jonas Nolan.

I read about the possibility of Nolan doing Superman which is good.

But I'm not so high on the need to remake Escape From New York.

Escape From New York Remake: Different Big Apple, Same Eye Patch

Nice stipulations:
- must be called 'Snake'
- must wear an eye patch
- always be a 'bad-ass'

You know, I'd be really really tempted to do the version of the story where the world grows up with the comics version of superman as part of its pop cultural consciousness and a kid named Clark Kent discovers he is, effectively, Superman. I can't remember the name of the mini series, but it is awesome.

Also:

Following Monday night's sale of the Terminator franchise by Halcyon to Pacificor, a judge has ruled that the franchise's new owners do not need to honor Terminator Salvation director McG's rights-of-first-refusal deal to direct any sequels, which was part of his agreement with Halcyon.

Superman Secret Identity. Its really a Must-read. Busiek and Immonem created a masterwork here... It's actually based in a very old story, one that years later would become the origin of the Superman Prime that has created havok in the DC Universe for the last few years...
