I'm currently watching the first half of Going Postal. I haven't actually read this particular Pratchett novel (yet), but they haven't fallen into the same trap that made The Colour of Magic. There's a good mix of well known, and lesser known actors

same thing here. haven't read the novel yet, bu when i saw the trailer i thought it looked good. Curiously, I was thinking about this yesterday while watching a few Coupling episodes i had pending. The star of Going postal is one of the actors in Coupling (which is great, by the way. Moffat is brilliant here) it's good to know that it's out already...

HOLY CRAP! "Going Postal" is one of my favorite novels in the past 10 years.

Neflixqueue. Neflixqueue. Crap... not even listed yet.

The worse thing about trying to find if BBC America is even going to run it, is that I keep getting "Going Postal" in a completely different context. Sheesh... Americans. (Wait... I'm an American.)

This was a Sky production, so BBCA may not have the rights to air it. Did they play Hogfather or The Colour of Magic?

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up Wolvie - I'll try to track that down.

I've been out of town and didn't notice the explosion of Lost chatter (or I would have split threads as requested). It appears to have calmed down now, and unless it peaks again I'll leave things as is.

No... But "Hogfather" and "The Colour of Magic" are both on Netflix. I'll get "Colour" by Friday.

I did enjoy the ending of Lost. Damon & Carlton both have said that the ending would be appropriate for the characters which it was. The Island was revealed to be a chance for a redemption and the Man in Black that corrupting force on free will.

I should also say that I saw Frakes at PHX ComiCon and he said that Christian Kane wrote a song specifically for an upcoming episode of Leverage. He also is rumored to have said that he really wants to do a Star Trek: Titan miniseries to bring some closure to the Riker character.

Torchwood has been picked up by the Starz Network and will be returning to screens next year. Both John Barrowman and Eve Myles will return with new co-stars and a distinctly more international feel to the show.

Wacky. That's certainly not how I expected it to shake out but I'm glad to have more Torchwood coming nonetheless.

More details about Torchwood Season 4...

- From this article: "The bulk of the story will shift from UK to North America and key U.S. actors will join the cast." Hm. Not sure about that but I'll wait and see. They're bringing back the primary components and the old base is gone...

- In this accompanying interview, Starz head Chris Albrecht confirms Season 4 will have a higher budget (no surprise there), that at least part of it will take place in the UK (that's reassuring), and RTD infers that we may not be looking so much at another season as another mini-series (which in my mind is a great thing). Of course, he also confirms that aliens are still a going public concern in Torchwood, which means - unless my guess about Doctor Who is very wrong - we're looking at alternate timelines. Maybe that's for the best.

Also, U.S. viewers will want to keep the telly on AMC after the Breaking Bad finale this Sunday...

That might have been the source of the "Torchwood" America rumors that we heard a while back.
