Yes, Piper Perabo and Jennifer Garner have similar lips and cheekbones.... However, Piper is 5'3" while Jen is 5'8"-5'9" and looks more lithe in her movements.

Piper and the Jake 2.0 guy are really the only things the show has going for it right now. Her delivery of "damping the mood" was easily my favorite moment in the pilot, and the blind tech has great potential for fun.

Having read both articles, it is not as bad as it could be ... my gut says he is taking some personal time for his family by reducing his commitment to the series. Plus, the SG:A crossover looks to be a solid version based off of what was supposed to be a movie.

Personally, I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to spy TV, but I thought the 2nd episode of Covert Affairs was a significant step up.  I felt they didn't tone down the dialogue as much for a "non-espionage-fan" audience.  I also think it's ripping off Alias' formula totally, but as one of the few I know who was willing to stick with that show to the end, I don't think ripping off Alias is a bad thing. The BBC have released the programme for this year's Doctor Who Prom, which takes place this weekend. I know what I'll be doing on Sunday morning! Grin

Same. Now I have something to listen to Sunday when I have to put in some extra time at work.

The proms are a major annual event over here, although the last night is always the best.

I was looking around the website... and the only thing I thought of was... We are so culturally deprived over here at times.

Heh, that reminds me of a Bill Hicks quote (that I will now butcher). When he performed in Ireland, he was in a theatre hundreds of years old that Oscar Wilde had once performed in, while in the States, he was in comedy shacks and dive bars.

The States does have some pretty impressive culture, though. You just need to hunt it out a little more (partly because the country is so much more spread out).

Love me some Bill Hicks. That's true. You really have to look hard.

I forget who said it, but this is very true:

While not actually on TV, you need to go to Hulu and check out Ark: http://www.hulu.com/ark

Episodes range from 3-10 minutes in length and to catch up on the show will take less than a hour since they only have 9 episodes up right now. But it is interesting real science fiction.

Looks like it would be a good survival space based game too.

Christina Hendricks could almost get her own thread here.

A British minister hails Hendricks as a role model for women.
