I remember an interview where he attributed his success in comedies to having no sense of humor whatsoever, that he could say the strangest things with a completely straight face. I am pretty sure that he was joking.

Forbidden Planet is on my list as well.

Meredith was a class act, on the field and in front of the camera. Dallas is one of my "second teams," and he was one of the foundations of the team's legacy.
