Broken link
Yikes! The link is broken, 'cause they done run out! I am very glad that I ordered when I did - my order has shipped. Looks like everything else is there, but the robo cutter has a big SOLD OUT! in the banner ad.  Shocked Sorry about that, I may have gotten one of the last ones in stock.

I shouldn't be surprised, I suppose - that was less than half price, and had free shipping to boot. I mentioned the sale a few other places, I should probably go and let those sites know as well.

The Auld Grump

*EDIT* At least one person managed to use the link on another site, and got one. That makes me feel a whole lot better. Smiley If I had gotten the last one, then posted the links then the gods of irony would have been laughing themselves silly. Tongue I am very glad that I didn't do my usual dither - even more ironic would have been posting the links, then not being able to get one for myself....

It arrived just a short while ao, a lot faster delivery than I expected. Soon I will be keeping the neighbors awake with the machine... no time to play with it now. Smiley

Whoops! I thought that I was joking about waking the neighbors, but the thing is loud!

I only did one page before putting the machine to bed for the night.

The Auld Grump, sounds a bit like an old dot matrix printer.

My Christmas present is here, Dragonfire's deluxe galleon, a balsa wood ship with a grid for miniatures, complete with masts and yard arms, here being accosted by Little Pet Sea Monsters:

The decks stack, and can be separated for multi-level action. There are three full length levels, plus a forecastle and 2 wheelhouse decks:

The set also comes with tiles depicting cannons, cannonballs, barrels, and fires!

I guess Auld must be busy playing with the new toys, 'cause the WorldWorks people released at last the Lost Halls set. And the Terrainplanner software, which is quite handy...

Heh - yeah, between playing with the Planner and running a game earlier today, I have been a tad busy. Smiley (I lost two hours of work with the planner when Vista on my Laptop decided to install some updates, without warning me. I had set it to ask me before installing updates, but apparently one of the previous updates reset that choice.  Angry And Microsoft wonders why Vista got such a well deserved bad reputation....)

Here's one that I was practicing on, but will likely only build part of. Smiley

Dwarven harbor, with canal.

The Auld Grump, I have long pictured dwarfs using canals.

Over 150 - see the above mentioned 'build only part of'. Tongue

A more likely build is also a whole lot less fleshed out - but still almost 150 sheets. Walls are biggest part, they don't take up a lot of room on the map, but youy need a whole bunch.

Upper

This is a fairly close attempt to recreate the map that went bye bye when Vista decided to restart my system without a by your leave.

Hmm, a couple of really nice ones -

First one that is currently available, from Fat Dragon -
(click to show/hide)
A rather nice windmill. The set also includes a cottage, which is 'sokay, but the windmill is the reason to get the set. Smiley I need to find a sound track for creaking timbers, mills are never quiet. I will most likely be building two - one for RPGs, the other ruined and used in Mordheim. In either event I can see it squatting beside the canals from the Himmelveil sets, constantly pumping water into the canals.

Not yet available, but due out fairly soon is the Terrain LinX version of Thoumont's - a conversion of an earlier set into panels for use with the TLX sets. Makes me want to play Mordheim right now. Smiley Inns, taverns, shops, and farmhouses seem like very possible builds, using this set.

The Auld Grump, both are very nice. Smiley

Something a bit more Modern this time - World Works has updated Streets of Mayhem to go with their TerrainLinx system, and added a Post Apocalyptic/War Zone theme as well. Smiley

(click to show/hide)

I am more likely to use the PA version, in the event I pick up my Fallout game again, but I can see the Dirty streets being used for a rundown parking garage in a Street game.

They have also rereleased Armoury as a TLX set - much more useful now. Smiley I was more than a tad annoyed with Armoury when it was first released, finding it too limited in scope. As a TLX release that limitation has been relieved.

(click to show/hide)

For some reason I am picturing adventurers in the zombie infested ruins of civilization, on a quest for the last remaining packets of Twinkies.... (Contrary to popular opinion, Twinkies do have an expiration date!) Tongue

These will be awfully handy when 10K Bullets sees release.

And on a related note -
A 50% Coupon for Jo-Ann Fabrics, and cases of foam core boards at Jo-Ann Fabrics.... Tongue Mmmm, fresh foam board, and the smell of hot toner. Smiley (Thanks to Deathreaver999 on the World Works forum. He found the coupon, then shared. Smiley )
