Yeah, Cathedrae Noctis is pretty danged awesome, even without the also awesome TLX conversion.

Like The Maiden of the High Seas it dominates a table. There is an expansion for doing a 'good' version of the cathedral - if and when I run my Gargoyles FC game this will be the center of the campaign. The home base of the PCs, and where they awaken, when the cathedral comes under attack.

And just 'cause I keep mentioning The Maiden -

She takes a bit of work to build, but she is lovely when finished.

The Auld Grump, you can see a bit of the very first Maiden built in one of the Canals pictures.

I'm really digging these guys. I bought the streets set, and i'm planning on getting the rest once i've tested it a little bit. I'll keep an eye on the cathedral, in case everything works fine. I would love to have some big scenery finished for my game con...

Fat Dragon has released a guard tower and armory for their Dragonshire series.

Kind of a cute little tower, actually - it looks like you can repeat the second floor if you want it a bit taller, and it would be easy to convert to a wizards tower with the right furnishings.

My only complaint is that it really, really needs stairs - having nothing but ladders is not the way to keep the good folks of The Watch happy.

Yeah, it really makes me want to revisit London Below. If I can ever get the PCs to brave the goblins down there....

The Auld Grump, hmmm, street goblin as a Species feat?...

I wonder how well that Sea Maiden travels. It'd be sweet on a convention table, but I'd have to be able to actually get it to the con.

Well, the one that you can see peaking above the doc in that Canal picture (back a page or two now) has survived two moves that I know of, but my own builds have been less lucky - one fell victim to a six year old, and the other just vanished, never to be seen again. (At home, too. I have no idea what happened to it.) The ship survived several trips to the game store and back, with little to no damage. The six year old loved it to death. Sad (I can't really blame the kid - a pirate ship, complete with plastic Mordheim 'pirates'....)

Get a good solid box for her, and remember to take her apart, and stuff her hull with crumpled newspaper for travel. For that matter - the hardest to build part is also the sturdiest, you would probably be able to bring along some printed sheets for emergency repair, or just bring extra masts, since those, and the bits sticking up from the main hull, are the most prone to damage.

And, on the smaller end of things, Dave Graham just released a ruined building that looks rather nice. Smiley

Looks like it would make for a nice little encounter, and at $2.50 not a bad price. It would be a good choice for Mordheim as well.

Bought it, built it, and used it at the kids' game this afternoon.

Terrain can make even low threat encounters more entertaining. Four goblins and an ogre, the ogre 'hiding' behind the crates near the ladder. He failed. Badly. Tongue

*EDIT* Translation - I had nothing really planned, so put in a nice combat encounter to take up the session. I should be ashamed, but the kids had a blast.

Hmmm, this might be worth mentioning -

(Image links to site.)

Ebbles makes some very nice science fiction
PDF terrain and models. Take a look, maybe you'll find something you'll like, and at half price for the PDFs... and don't forget to look at their older models. (Some old favorites - Smiley )

The Auld Grump, can you guess which ones I used for the XCom Campaign? Tongue

Ugh. ***SOLD OUT!***this sale***SOLD OUT!*** on the Robo Cutter caught me with my guard down. I don't know how long the sale is going to last, but I do know that I am $130 poorer than I was less than an hour ago. Silhouette SD - $129.99, with free shipping.

Fortunately I was able to get my order in before my inner tightwad could catch me up - this will make the TLX builds so much easier! Heck, it means that I will be able to use the sets as intended, readying a whole bunch of pieces for assemble at the table.

The Auld Grump, who realizes that he is probably the only one here excited by this, but....
