World Works Games has a new set in the works that has me drooling - if I can't figure out at least thirteen ways of using this set in varying games without breaking a sweat then I deserve to put away my dice and GM screens forever.

For the basement (I would assume) the set includes a giant heart... the building is in some macabre way alive, if you so desire. For D&D the entire building might serve as a liche's phylactory. Smiley

A lot of their Slagtown stuff looks like it's right out of Fallout.

In the toy shop today I came across two castle making kits - silicon "brick" molds, along with the (coloured) plaster (3 bags), glue and paints to assemble them into buildings. included amongst the shapea are those necessary for arches and windows. around the AU$50-60 mark.

The set itself just came out tonight. Smiley The reason I am up so late is to listen to my printer chugging merrily along, and to keep it fed.

I actually just plan on recreating the model shown in the pictures.

The Auld Grump, the printer is now silent, time to sleep....

Hmmm, I've got a stack of WW stuff never assembled, I'd promised myself not to buy more until I've at least got a barebones Streets of Mayhem set together.

My suggestion is to build either one or two pieces a day - it takes less than an hour, say between getting home and having dinner. In three weeks you will have a useable setup, with incidentals. Streets is a good set to do this with, then add Bits after the layout has been done.

Don't bite off more than you can easily chew in an hour or two - unless you are one of those who, like me, actually enjoys sitting down for about four hours with knife and cutting mat. (Or paints and minis, for that matter.)

So far I've built, a bus, a couple of snack machines, a bin, a bench & some road sections. I mostly built a 'hollywood flats' thingymy but then I realised I'd managed to print it on a 'print to fit' setup and it's the wrong size (d'oh) - though for the sake of whats left to do on it, I'll probably finish it up and use it as a free-standing item.

A nice* set is coming, that might be handy for those running science fiction games. Especially those who are using Fragile Minds in science fiction games... HellWorks III - Celestus Pravatis.

(click to show/hide)

(click to show/hide)

It comes in both corrupted and uncorrupted versions. I think that I will pretty much be sticking with the uncorrupted. And the set is compatible with the previous two space ships, First Light and Shadowcore Prime. With all three sets  you could have Tyranids vying with Nurgle for control of the ship....

The Auld Grump

*By nice I mean for an hideous Chaos infested space hulk....

Back on the old forums I wrote a bit about an X-Com based Spycraft game I ran as a filler, since I was working a summer festival and wanted something lighter to run than the then current Steampunk Espionage game.

Now Ebbles has this:

All I can think is 'Welcome to Cydonia'. Smiley

The Auld Grump, who has been busy the last few weeks, and has had little time to post.  Undecided
