It was nice to see steampunk represented. (Not that I am biased in any way. Tongue

) The town needs some more grot and grime to really pull it off though. (If I really want to I can add the grime with Page Plus.

'Bout the limit of my artistic talents though.)

I am hoping that future releases add more machinery to the mix. Over all, not bad.

Topo Solitario has some interesting vehicles, the one above looks like some form of armored vehicle, and is available with turrets and missile pods.

The version that I am currently printing is the post-apocalyptic version shown above.

This one is waiting in the queue -

The models are free, but you may want to drop some money in the hat.
Other models that may come in handy include the Chickenhawk VTOL craft.

I have to admit that I have a weakness for butt ugly space ships. Tongue

Fat Dragon's Reliance bears some similarities in function to the Chickenhawk above. I like the cut outs exposing the engines.

Under the heading of 'Free Terrain is Always Good' Dave's Games has some rather nice 16th - 17th century style terrain, intended for Warhammer, but good for any similarly themed settings. (My own homebrew comes under that heading - I based it around the wars of religion, in particular the counter reformation.)

And given that much of Europe has buildings dating back that far you can probably get some use in a modern setting.

The Auld Grump, you won't find any new buildings that have lasted four hundred years, I betcha.

World Works has a nifty series of ground tiles coming out. If by 'nifty' you read 'steampunk'.

Streets, canals, and sewers... now if they can only do some railroads, then I will be completely set. Tongue

I like the way fallen leaves are used to define the grid on the canals.

They have put up a video of the new system in use - TerrainLinx.

All I could think of while watching it was 'Wow, just like Panel & Girder for fantasy!' (Not an insult, by the way - I loved Panel & Girder, and still have a set that I have used on occasion just for gaming.

)

The cardboard tabs might be a bit fiddly, but it looks pretty darned versatile. I like how it layers up, so you can build a sewer, put a street over it, then put buildings along the streets.

Most of my builds tend to be permanent, and this set is definitely aimed at terrain that is built, used, then torn back down again, though I can see how a bit of glue would fix that.

But really, what sold me was this picture:

It calls out to the Nosferatu in me.

I really want them to come out with a Victorian subway set to interconnect with the sewers. (Yeah, I know, it is more properly called the Underground, but most of us are Yanks, not Poms. Tongue

)

Something for Post Apocalyptic settings -

Model Card Shantytown by Runestone Entertainment. A series ofsimple buildings and some sheet metal textured panels to glue over them.

Looks like the Florida Wastelands may aquire some shantytowns. (There is a shanty, in old shanty town... walls so slanty they touch the ground....)
