If I had the time, I'd so be in on this. I'm interested in keeping tabs on it which is the only reason I am posting for the moment.

I'm not all that picky guys. So long as it says "this is my character", then I'm good unless something is really jarring. I was gently pushing folks towards photos for a bit more consistent feel, but I'm not that worried about it.

Lorelei - a slightly bigger version of the avatar would be fine.

Spinningdice - Unlike CSI, I do watch Chuck. But if you are at your wits end, that'll work.

nfactor - Heh. If it was a bit more recent pic, you might be pushing it. Wink

Meh, Chuck doesn't seem that big in my circles so I thought I might get away with it. How about

Bit pose-y but will probably do.

Sorry guys... I was going to post the intro, but they keep on giving me work to do at work... the nerve.

I did jot down some notes today, I just need to put it up. Too late tonight though.

Don't know, slightly creepy google image searching. The image was offered up as stock art though, so I'm assuming I'm not going to get an e-mail from a freaked out young lady.

On the subject of subplots, I'll pick Nemesis.  During her last mission before being burned, her teammate became a danger to the mission when he took on an outside contract and began focusing on it at the expense of the mission at hand.  As a response to this, holding the success of the mission as more important than any single agent's life, she killed her teammate without a second thought.  After she killed him, a rival agent in the same organization was the one who took the case to her superiors.  However, he deliberately exaggerated the circumstances, left out the crucial details on why the teammate was killed, and fabricated evidence against her with the express purpose of having her removed from the agency.  Now, he's either out of the game himself, or employed by an enemy faction, and Lorelei's out to even the score - he took her life from her, now she'll take his from him.

Ok... before I make my post, I have a question about personal gear...

Does ammo for personal gear get tracked between missions, or just the gear itself?  For example... if I want to use one kind of poison for my distinject model 35 for this mission and another for the next, can I swap the type of poison in them and refresh the amount of ammo it has during the intel phase of the next mission, or does it keep the same kind of ammo from this mission in the same amount as what I had left at the end of the first mission?

Neither personal gear nor mission gear is tracked between missions. The main gear related detail tracked is Reputation/Net Worth. That can ebb and flow.

So yes, you will refresh any ammo you used and can typically swap out gear picks for other appropriate, eligible gear picks between missions.

On the card-generated stats...

Can we see what our card-generated stats would be before deciding whether to take that option or not, or do we just have to take the risk?  Naturally, I wouldn't expect to be given a second shot if I didn't like the first deal, but if I pick card-generated and it turns out badly, can I opt to go back to point-allocated after I've seen the results?

Lorelei... more paragraphs breaks, please. I'm having a little trouble following your narrative in the IC thread.

That's hedging your bets, isn't it? Wink

I'll say this much: I did a card pull, and at least one of your stats would end up being higher, but one would end up being lower. Do you feel lucky, punk?  Cool

I've done several card pulls on my own... I think I liked about 8/10 of them better than what I could get with the traditional point system.  But...

Well, the stat that matters the most to me is int, and if I'm correct, it's impossible for my highest stat with the card pull to be less than 14, which would be 16 with my origin, so I wouldn't lose anything from int... and it can go even higher than that without hurting my other stats too much.

When all is said and done, I suppose it's only a game, right?  I think I'll go for it... we'll see how it turns out.

Besides, it's boring if you give us that option and no one uses it, right? Cheesy
