I didn't find any rules on this in the book (and not here in the FC Forum).

- Damage Resistances do stack? If i have Cold 5 from Gear and Cold 2 from a Feat, i get Cold 7?

- DR of Armor doesn't stack. I assume that Thick Hide doesn't stack with Armor too (as it is "treated as partial armor").

- Does DR granted from Feats stack with DR from armor? e.g. Brass Construct gets me DR 2 or Earth Heritage gets me DR 2/Blunt. If such a characters wears armor, does it stack? The later one wears a Platemail with DR 4...does he get DR 4 (all) and DR 6 / Blunt?

Maybe this could be moved to the Q&A topic.

Unless mentioned otherwise, things stack. So do Resistances.
DR of Armor doesn't stack. I assume that Thick Hide doesn't stack with Armor too (as it is "treated as partial armor").
Indeed, in this case, it is mentioned that thick hide doesn't stack with other armors, see page 13.
Does DR granted from Feats stack with DR from armor? e.g. Brass Construct gets me DR 2 or Earth Heritage gets me DR 2/Blunt. If such a characters wears armor, does it stack? The later one wears a Platemail with DR 4...does he get DR 4 (all) and DR 6 / Blunt?
Here, no reason this all shouldn't stack, including armor. In the last case, your character gets a DR 4 and a DR 2/blunt. Which means DR 6 against anything but blunt and DR 4 against blunt.

Mmmh, nother question on this or at least very similiar:

a) Does Armor Mastery and Armor Supremacy stack with "Thick hide"?
b) Can I wear Fittings with "Thick hide"?

c) Does  an AP x quality also effect Damage Resistance (not Reduction). Example: If an attack does 5 Damage Melee/Edged (with AP 4) passes DR 1 and the target has a Edged Resistance 4, is the overall result Damage = 0?

a) Thick Hide counts as armor, can't see any other reason they'd mention that specifically.
b) I'm sure I remember reading not, but can't see the thread now.
c) Pretty sure this is a no, but don't quote me on that.

Since it counts as Partial Armor, yes.

b) Can I wear Fittings with "Thick hide"?

Since they are upgrades to armor, rather than armor themselves, no.

\
AP only reduces Damage Reduction, not Resistances as stated directly in the quality. Otherwise, Electrical or Divine Resistance would do nothing (as both those damage types ignore DR).

Since Thick Hide is explicitly stated to have the character "considered to be wearing partial armor", then an armor modification like Fittings is indeed appropriate.  Take a look at classical warriors like Greek Hoplites (and modern versions like the Spartans in 300) for examples of warriors who main armor WAS only fittings. (Perhaps they had Thick Hide of 0)

The problem is that Fittings function like an armor upgrade, and "considered to be wearing" does not mean "wearing." If Martial Arts said that you're considered to be wielding a Short Sword, you wouldn't be able to upgrade your fists as if you had a short sword.

That being said, Fittings, as described, don't really have any reason other than balance to not function without armor, I use a slightly more complex variation on Descriptive Armor (individual fittings that accrue to those in the book) and let my players use fittings without armor, it's not wildly unbalanced, but you might want to keep it in check if you do so.

Deral has this correct.

Hoplites actually wore fairly extensive armor. The dudes in 300 are an example, though.

While that's all fine and good as a house rule, but the errata has clarified that fittings may only be used with armor.

Oh, I didn't even realize that needed errata'd, but clarification never hurts- but Alex is right, that part is definitely a house rule and I switched up and complicated the way fittings work a little bit because of it.

The guys in 300 would more likely be operating with the "Beefy Heros" campaign quality. Smiley

Hi, I am new here and I have some questions...

I am a Soldier 3, using a parcial chain mail with light fitting... Earth Heritage

I need to know my DR against:

Blunt (I think it is 3, 4 in dramatic scenes)
Edge (7, 8 in dramatic).
Other damage types affected by DR (5, 6 in dramatic, I think)

Thanks, for your time! If I am wrong, please, tell me how to do the right math!
