I envisioned my Animal Partner as being, essentially, a runt of the litter amongst the rohirrim horses, however it has spent it's life trying to keep up with its bigger brethren.  It's name is Stott and is constantly full of energy.  One of the hardest parts of Gorbo's initial training of the animal was getting it to settle down enough to stay quiet and hidden for any length of time, for Gorbo knows only too well there are many things where you will be better off if they don't notice you.

My Animal Partner can have up to 75 XP.  The base War Pony has 55 XP so I added 20 XP worth of stuff to it.  Here is the proposed additions:

XP
1   Str from 15 to 16
2   Dex from 12 to 14
0   Int from 4 to 6
2   Def from III to V
3   Add Resolve III
3   Add Sneak III
1   Add Superior Jumper I
1   Increase Superior Runner from I to II
1   Add Superior Traveler I
3   Add Swift Attack I
3   Added 29 Comp of gear

The full sheet looks like this (XP values are on the left):
75   Stott, Rohirrim War Pony
   SZ M (1×1, Reach 5 ft)
   Type: Animal
1   Spd 40 ft. ground
12   Str 16, Dex 14, Con 12, Int 6, Wis 10, Cha 6

4   Init IV
4   Atk IV
5   Def V
4   Res IV
4   Health IV
0   Comp -

   Skills:
5   Athletics V
3   Notice III
3   Resolve III
3   Sneak III

   Qualities:
2   Fearless I
2   Improved stability
1   Superior Jumper I
2   Superior Runner II
1   Superior Traveler I
3   Swift Attack I
5   Tough I

   Attacks:
6   Kick III (2d6+3, threat 19-20)
2   Trample I (1d8+3, Threat 20)

3   Equipment:
   Comp
14   Fitted, Lightweight, Moderate Leather with Light Fittings
   5   Saddlebags
   10   Durable Blanket

Let me know if there are any problems with this.

Bill - That's fine. I'll add a statline as soon as I have 5 minutes spare.

Wolverine - Erk has been fully updated. I believe that's everyone apart from our new Elf.

So, i'd better get writing, huh?

I'll post Gillion soon and get feedback, then we could do a scene(s) where he appraoches the location (Helmsdeep?) and meets the others.
That should give you some time to write.

I wanted to advance the timeline a year, maybe two years later. Lots of stuff starts to happen in the two decades after the turn of the millenium. Don't worry about bringing yourself in - i'll introduce you.

1-2 years? Probably still in the employ of king Théodred, but feeling the itch to hit the road again. Brannadan is not one for the courts, or a cushy lifestyle, so once he's learned all he can from the elite guards (the bloodsworn class essentially), he'll start to look for good reasons to leave the king's employ. And who knows, maybe there's a new figure in court, a small weasel-faced man making the rounds plying tongue to ear maneuvering for position that makes Brannadan want to leave, post-haste?

Kyan has spent the time instructing the younger housecarls in the art of battle for the past few years, traveling from holding to holding where the King sees fit to send him. Like Brannadan the call of the road is starting to cry louder each passing month and he looks for reasons to be on it.
