I dont know if i just like big challenges or what... Anyone here ever played Talislanta?

It would be so kewl least from my perspective if something could work out between crafty  and the new publishers of Talislanta .

I'm even wondering if I could make a good conversion myself. Mostly I have in mind using Fantasy craft to describe the races and  the like without having to change anything of the setting.

There are a tremendous number of races in Talislanta, that is for sure!  I think that you would be able to express them in Fantasy Craft terms relatively easily (see their Wiki on guidelines) since many of them are human folk with a little flavor.  Examples: Ariane Seekers = Elf druids, Aramite Knife-Fighter = Agile human Assassins, Batrean Paramours = Female Entertainers with Charisma 20+,  Rahastran Cartomancer = Human mage (with cards as a focus for spell-casting),  Xambrian wizard hunter = human soldier/ runeblade.  Muses have telepathy and mental illusions which could be tricky but you could make it that they cast spells without the need for gestures.  For the non-humans they can translate fairly readily too.   Kharakhan Giants = FC hill giants, Parthenian Salvagers = FC Unborn (bronze), Thrall Warriors = Orc Soldiers immune to fear and Ur Renegade = FC ogres.

I hope I gave you a few ideas.   Fantasy Craft is a tremendously flexible system and I think that you would have some fun creating your favorite races from Talislanta into this system.   Smiley

I had the same idea, as well as the idea of using FC for Bard Games's Atlantis. In fact, given the wealth of Specialty options and the support for Ancient era games, I would not be surprised if the authors were familiar with it.
