With FantasyCraft out and now that it has been long enough for me to devour and understand along with the wider community I'm looking at adjusting my exisiting priest class.

My preist class is closer to the Gnostic form DI but to move it a little closer to FC Priest I need to jiggle a few of the class abilities about.

First off I use a number fo house rules including using Elements of Magic:Mythic Earth as a basis for all spellcasting. In essence you choose a method of learning magic and in roughest terms divine (priest) or arcane (Wizard) gain access to certain spellcasting skills along with a unique power (trick or stance) a way to do rituals and normally some sort a catch/handle/drawback.

Currently I have my priests gaining Circle of Power as a C slot class ability. (3, 6, 9 etc) and I want to put the Path of the Devoted (normally a C slot) into a D slot (4, 8, 12 etc).

As it goes up a slot and you now get less of them I want to raise the power of the Path of Devoted slightly.
What could I do to make it more in line with a D slot class ability?

Honestly? Nothing. Both C and D slots contain the same scale of abilities (basically all on about par with a bonus feat from a limited number of trees). Moving Path of the Devoted to D slots still gives you enough iterations to complete a full path and gain the 5th step, so no adjustment is required.

Actually that's a very clean swap. Similar to how a hexblade-inspired base class I was tinkering with moves Circle of Power into the D slots. I'd only be looking at beefing it up if it was taking steps as part of the 2/11/19, 10/20, or gamebreaker slots, and even then it would probably take the form of 1 step + some other non-step related bonus.

Hexblade-inspired base class you say, hmmm? I'd love to see it when you've finished it.
