Hi,

I just wanted to say that I bought FantasyCraft today. Obviously I have only had time to skim it but so far I am very impressed with it.

I think that I can do with it what I aim to do with reasonable amount of work. I am glad to see that combat is pretty sleek when compared to other d20 versions I have seen.

More to come when I have time to better read the book.

Same country, same day, same book?

Coincidence? I doubt it!

Yes, I got it from my FLGS.

True, I should listen to all the voices but then again I would go bankrupt  Tongue

That explains the empty slot where the Fantasy Craft was still earlier this week.

That spot was empty today, when I popped in.  Wink

Almost  Grin

Actually my starting point will be a blend of Shaman Warrior, spaghetti western (without firearms) and my old Rolemaster campaign world. Part of the inspiration came from a campaign log I read at the Finnish RPG forum. It was about a Pathfinder campaign set in a desert and I began to think that heck, I have never set my campaign in a desert region, so now it would be a good time to do that.

I am sure this all will blend together more and I will rip parts of various sources as I read further. But actually that picture was not too bad for an idea as I have been thinking about putting reaver analogues to the game as some sort of really scary opponents.

Hmm... I have admit that I am totally out of the loop because I didn't get that joke Tongue

Anyway, I must say that for a long time I am this thrilled about any gaming system. Sure there have been cool settings in recent years but game mechanics have not been all that interesting. And yes, this comes from a guy who have stayed clear of any d20 products no matter how cool the setting is. There have been two close calls so far, d20 Conan RPG and Spycraft 2.0. But it seems that Crafty games have managed to streamline the system enough for me to like it. Good job!  Grin
