I am an avid Spycraft 2.0 player and think that this is what D20 Modern should have been.  I do have a question however; with all of the cool stuff being done for Fantasy Craft, which rocks by the way, will we see more for the coolness that is Spycraft 2.0 or is it being replaced?

No, the really cool stuff is coming. Trust me.
Already mentioned was stuff for World on Fire, and the Crafty guys had been dropping mysterious hints about other stuff.

The FC craze will soon pass and we'll see more support for SC.

We have not one but two World on Fire books coming, and other stuff we can't discuss quite yet. One PDF project is very close (it's Alex's highest product priority at the moment, actually).

Cool.  I love the way things are done in Spycraft 2.0 and although I love Fantasy Craft I really do not want to see SC 2.0 go away.

I completely understand that you can't discuss it, but can you answer one quick question: Will it be a "realistic" PDF?  As much as I loved Transmech, and OOTS and such, I personally get more milage out of something that doesn't require specific settings to be used [but I'll buy it either way.  Wink]

It's a heckuva lot more "realistic" than Transmechs, but it's not quite "core" Spycraft either. More of that is on the way as well - it's just not next.

Also, as we're asking, could you tell us just how close the next Spellbound release is? My players and I just enjoyed the Channeler and the Seer so much, I can't wait to introduce the next "specialized wizard". Maybe a name? Tinker? Tongue

We have two more written - and the rest are in development. I expect we'll have another one out in pretty short order. Smiley

If that's alex's highest priority, where's 10kb on the priority list? Another year long wait?

I guess they want to space the core mastercraft books a little in time, so they can give the most support to all of them..

While it is actually a good idea to spread core releases out, it won't be another year - we're currently hoping to have it out somewhere in early 2010. More details as we have them.

Can't wait for 10KB ... While I'm anxious, Alex still has me beat in that department.

I know SC is not going away.

So almost five done then.  I know how reluctant you are to give release times but generalist wizards have never existed in my homebrew making FC kind of hard to use.  Should I assume at least another years wait?

For the whole series and conversion? Too few hard details in place to say at this point.

Even without the conversion.  I'm sure I can use the base Spycraft product as the differences between SC and FC/MC sort of stand out when you really put the two side by side.

Right now I'm tweaking my world for the Pathfinder system as I've already delayed my campaign almost 3 times longer than I intended; if I wait much longer I'm afraid I'm going to lose it entirely.  But the base FC magic system just won't work for my homebrew.

I'm fairly confident I can start converting even with the SC version.  I had intended to use FC instead of 4E but that was almost a year and a half ago (when I thought FC and the Spellbound's would be out much earlier) and that's too long of a hiatus.  The group is starting to drift and I need to start going now; thus Pathfinder.  But the longer I have to wait the harder it's going to be to switch not to mention convincing my players to buy into another system.
