I raised the question in another thread but this is where it belongs. Number Three mentioned that he was surprised that we included a "printer-ready" version of TDH because the "full version" is in B&W. The big difference is the borders. So my question... Is this helpful? Or would you get mostly the same benefit out of just the full version?

I like the print version because it's just the words (which are really all you really need to run the adventure). It may not be as nice to read, but it is more straight-forward.

That said, it would have been nice to include the maps in there too, but that is a very, very minor quibble Smiley

I like having both versions available because I can also print out of the print version of the books or other pdfs. However, if the full version is already in black & white, then there is no reason to do an additional print version vs the full version.

I've always printed the full version of crafty pdfs. The two-column layout makes it much easier to read. The old green tables didn't work very well printed B&W, but the newer products print fine.

Repeated from other thread:
I prefer print versions for things that are rules heavy, but for an adventure I'm not particularly bothered, especially if it's in B&W anyway.
Though I've inherited a colour laser at home now, so it's less of an issue regardless.

To elaborate slightly, Adventures, I'm unlikely to print (except for any handouts etc) as it's not something I expect the players to read. Books with player relevent rules info I will expect them to read, and I don't like passing my laptop around the table when someone needs to look something up.
Also Print versions double as easier to read in the office without someone wondering why I'm looking at document with axe-wielding warriors...

I use a PDF reader to read and loading images is slow so I like the print editions.. however (as slow as it is) having the maps in would be good, you need them Smiley

I always print out the full version, I've never had a problem with greyscale's readability [including the colour spycraft stuff].

Now that I have a supersonic colour laser at work*, I wouldn't print anything but the full versions. Mind you, I haven't printed any so far, but then again all my Crafty stuff is digital-only for the moment (got the SP 2.0 SP on order, though  Kiss).

* honestly, what else would it get used for?

This. The print-only versions are good for low-grunt systems

As previously mention, I'm on the full version pdf side of this when it comes to adventures.
