Archives New Zealand has finally reached the 21st Century and placed 1500 pieces of war art online on their own new site. The National Collection of War Art features paintings from as far back as the First World War, and has a large selection of Second World War pieces. Each piece is also available in a larger format, and many would make good wallpapers.

In related news, the National Archive has started releasing their own news reels to DVD. They're in the public domain now, which should lead to all sorts of interesting applications...
