Question: Do you read rpg books on the toilet?
Yeah; mine and others. They're only books, yeesh...
Only my books. Reading someone elses is rude.
No! Never! The can is not for reading!

This may strike you as odd, but unfortunately this is how my mind works - is it bad etiquette to read someone else's rpg books on the loo? Opinions!

It occurs to me that I put this in the wrong area - if one of the mods wants to move it, it'd be greatly appreciated...

I donno - My can doesn't have a power plug, and there's no where to put a laptop thats convienant.  So one may need to improvise.  Obviously you were referring to actual books but I just got a really funny image in my head of a guy with his mates laptop and a shifty look on their face in the bathroom.

Good RPG you had there. Soft, yet absorbent....

A friend of mine once took a different friend's RPG book into the can with him, and I was absolutely mortified. Especially since he had a nasty habit of doing bad things to my toilet.

Well I don't know, I never borrow RPG books from others. I have enough of my own.

Unless you are using the books in a way that is....different than their intended purpose, I don't see what's wrong with reading them in the bathroom.  I've done some of my best reading in there over the years!

That said, if you have some doubt how the particular owner would feel, it might be wise to ask first.

The only gaming books I've read in the bathroom that weren't my own were my girlfriend's, so I had implicit approval there.

See, I've never understood having the time to read in the bathroom. I do my business and I'm out of there; I'd much rather sit on the couch and read, thank you.

Eat more fiber.

The can is not a reading room.
