Good, evil, or neutral?

Yes.

Bear in mind she's a half-breed street kid who's been taken in by a small family of Dwarven artisans, who were the ones that made her literate and who following their murder by parties unknown is very suddenly a destitute (and mostly of her own volition) single mother of what is essentially a young child.

Well, if she's feeling vengeful there's Calistrea, or possibly Dranngvit. (I guess from that background, she might be most familiar with the dwarf pantheon). Alternatively, if she seeks protection, Torag or Folgrit would seem the most likely of the dwarf pantheon, but there are likely a fair few options from other pantheons too.

Haldar  is an Ulfen follower of Torag wandering the lands of Varisia in search of fame and fortune.

If someone would be kind enough to check this over and make suggestions, I'd be grateful.

Looks good to me. And YAY! We have someone with a rank in sneak! X3
I did just notice, you don't speak common. I don't know how that'll go over, but, you can always pick it up at level 2. Smiley

I had to stretch my skills very thin to begin with.  i could move some around if more sneak is needed.  Also, I have two unused interests.  I could pick common for one of those, right?  Also, what's the deal with a prereq for Beastmaster being 6 ranks of ride?

Dragon-rider, nuff said. Wink
You can use one of your other interests on Languages, yes. Smiley
I'd say spend points that make sense, but that's something more for Krensky to offer advice on.

No, we're good for sneak so don't bend yourself out of shape over it.

@Vardeman,

If someone would be kind enough to check this over and make suggestions, I'd be grateful.

Looks good to me too.  Cha 8 is going to be brutal to your income, what with the slow lifestyle progression of the Soldier and all, but on the whole I'd say you've built a highly mobile and flexible fighting type / party tracker.  What sort of animals are you planning to get?

More importantly, that low charisma will be brutal in social situations. It says to me "Hey, I want to suck at dealing with others outside combat." and I will feel compelled to oblige.

Well, since Ride isn't a class skill for Soldiers (and I still don't see why a Beastmaster needs to be so skilled in Ride), I may aim for Force of Nature instead but that will require me to drop a feat for Elemental Heritage.

Or that you're just really really easy to order around and don't have many of your own thoughts.

In short, you're kinda prime minion material.

That's really more low wis, but the long and short is that I will make drawbacks (and dropping a stat to 8 is taking a drawback) actually be drawbacks.

So, vardeman, is Haldar the kind of guy no one liked, respected, or wanted to be around and can't form coherent sentences or make himself understood without violence?

More like the kind of guy uncomfortable in society who deals with it when he has to, but comes off as uncultured.

Sounds good to me - 8 isn't terrible, just lower than average.

I thought it didn't look right. Just did some maths.
Varde- you still have 4 points to spend on Attributes. You've got 36 to spend, not 32. Smiley

Edit: Hang on, I did something wrong.

Edit2:  Okay, I falsely did the math based on the assumption your character was an Ogre... I don't know why.
However, after doing the math, you're actually 1 point over.

Str 15 (was 13, before talent) = 6
Dex 14 = 8
Con 15 = 11
Int 10 (was 12 before talent) = 4
Wis 14 = 8
Cha 8 = 0
Total = 37

Unless theres a stray +1 to a stat somewhere that I can't find.

i got 37, though if he takes one point out of con, then he gets that point back and 2 to put into charisma to make it a ten.

i did the math on mine and could someone double check this, but i think i was way off, by like 12 points. i will amend my sheet.
i got bored and made a spread sheet to make this a bit easier.
