A header on p. 183 reads "BLACK POWER WEAPON DESCRIPTIONS". I assume it's supposed to read "BLACK POWDER WEAPON DESCRIPTIONS"? Wink

Ha! That's one of our best typos yet (you gotta be able to laugh at yourself).

We'll get those taken care of, boys. Thanks!

<deep voice> WTF, man!? You bein' racist?

Page 211  Stress Damage example

Okay, Brungil gains 4 Stress over his friend's skewering.

"Hours later" Brungil gets lit up by a dragon.  Stressful:  Brungil takes 22 Stress.

Problem:  The 22 Stress is added to the previous 4 Stress.  However, "Outside combat or once all sources of anguish are removed, stress damage wears off at the rate of 1 point per 10 minutes."

It sounds like Brungil's pre-dragonbreath 4 Stress should wear off in 40 minutes, so it would not be added to the 22 Stress inflicted hours later.

Unless . . .

Was Brungil in constant anguish and/or combat for hours and, therefore, unable to recover from the 4 Stress?

Or should the example say something like "Less than 10 minutes later, before Brungil has had a chance to relax and wring out his dwarf shorts, he gets wyrmflamed"?

Page 73:  "COUNTERFEIT (DOWNTIME)  This works like a Build check, except that when the object is ready an observer can make a Notice or Search check to realize it’s a fake. This check’s DC is equal to 10 + the forger’s total bonus with the Crafting skill (rounded down)."

Should this be HALF the forger's total bonus?

No, I don't see why. Spotting a fake is not easy.

Cool, I'll make a note of it.  I was asking because of the "rounded down" aspect of Counterfeit.

This. The example was first written before a pre-release rules change. We'll get that fixed in the errata.

That's a typo. We'll get it removed.

If you take the Fast Proficiencies campaign quality, as written, it only grants you 1 extra proficiency at first level.

Fast Proficiencies (permanent): Each player character gains 1 bonus proficiency at Career
Level 1 and every 2 levels thereafter. This replaces the bonus
proficiencies on Table 1.4: Career Level (see page 27).

According to Table 1.4 Characters gain new proficiencies at Level 3 and every 2 levels thereafter, thus characters only gain 1 more proficiency total from having this campaign quality.

Um, table 1.4 lists new feats at level 1 and every level evenly divisible by three. I think you're looking at the Proficiency column, not the feat column.

He's talking about proficiencies. The equivalent Spycraft quality gives a bonus proficiency every level.

I could have sworn he said feats. What I get for posting after a double shift and no sleep.

Whoops! We'll shift that to 1 new proficiency per Career Level in the errata.

Whoah! As a soldier or another high proficiency class, you'd end up with left over points, wouldn't you? After getting all the tricks and profs?

Sounds like it's time to unveil the super-forte mechanic. Wink
