Wolves, as animals, have no Comp grade, but they do have an attack with the trip quality. How do they make an Acrobatics check to trip someone?

Untrained check?

How does that work for NPCs?

Any character can make an untrained skill check, unless explicitly restricted otherwise (such as with Spellcasting).

I guess wolves are just really bad at tripping, then. Hm.

I'm not sure if someone already mentioned this but it seems there are a few (Species) feats that have Requirements instead of Prerequisites. It's a minor detail, but I thought I might report it

Yeah I caught that the other day. My bad  Cry - we use "Requirements" everywhere else but Feats, where we kept 'Prerequisites"

It's true that wolves should probably have the Acrobatics Signature Skill. This is one of those nuances to the system that you learn as you go, and have to watch for as you build new animals - if one has an attack that requires a skill, be sure to add grades in it. Smiley

Not currently an option.

Well, you could always give it Sprawling Attack [Supernatural: Bite], but that's a little complicated just for a wolf, yet still a little simpler than giving him Polearm Basics and Mastery along with Master's Touch I (though on second thought that'd STILL require the signature skill).

You could always use Extradimensional Movement to go to a reality where the opponent is tripped... oh, wait, sorry. Wrong game board. Smiley

Wow. I have a sudden craving to play Amber.

(That's not strictly true. My pepetual craving just moved much closer to the front of my awareness Grin.)

Make for a hell of a spell though. Compass or maybe foresight.

Hey guys
I was making a mage character, my first character, and I found a problem with filling out the character sheet.  I can not find a place for the spellcasting skill.  Also, while having the origin skills marked on the sheet, I think it would also be good to have a way to mark paired skills.  I hope this was the right place to post this.

The Spellcasting skill is at the top of the spell page of the character record which is the last page of the 4 page character sheet.

I've been reading the cheating death table and it strikes me that for die result 14, ruinous is actually worse than catastrophic. If damage is doubled then massive damage threshold is effectively reduced to 25 already.

It says that Trample may only target characters 2 or more Sizes smaller but all NPCs in Bestiary target characters of 1 or more Sizes smaller. For example: Large horse/elephant tramples Medium characters, huge mammoth tramples Large characters, etc.
