The lack of errata for the second printing implies to me that the those crafty guys have build the errata into the second printing, which would be fantastic  Grin

But since this errata is for the pdf also what about those of use who've already bought the pdf? Or is that a part of this mysterious

I was about to say... does this mean if I go check out RPGnow/DTRPG (I forget where I bought this), there'll be a PDF update soon?  Huh? Cool

That is indeed the case. You can read the run-down in the latest update here.

It was. As noted in the same spot, we'll be using the DriveThru/RPGNow update technology to get new PDFs out to everyone who's purchased the electronic product to date.

That's great to hear. Will that extend to other electronic releases? I believe there was some confusing typo (in calibers or something?) in one of the BFoGs?

Really looking forward to getting my paws on those books Cheesy

Represents something of a special occasion - which ate MONTHS of our production time. We will not be updating smaller .pdfs.

We did it here because it was doable as part of the process that was already underway with these books. Revisiting previous work is not something we'll generally have time for, though.

Part of me wishes I had the skills and software to help you out - voluntary fashion as I'd really like to see some silly little errors corrected.

It's a slippery slope. The more product you produce, the more work you create, the less you produce... Sigh. Sad

I'm not sure where to pose this question so an errata thread seems the best place.

Spycraft 2.0 says that Snoops gets Covert and Gear bonus feats. Gear feats make sense, but Covert feats don't so much, especially since half of them are combat-related.

In the Feats section it says that only Snoops have easy access to Tradecraft feats whereas other classes must take the feats through their levels. Tradecraft feats do make sense as the bonus feats for Snoops, but no where in the rules is this indicated as so.

I've searched the errata and I've searched this forum but I can't find anything that indicates that this apparent discrepancy I've found is an error.

Do Snoops receive Covert bonus feats or are they supposed to receive Tradecraft bonus feats?

Thanks in advance for the help.

See the Snoop's Black Hat ability for how they gain Tradecraft feats.

Yeah, I suppose. But that's not really "gaining" tradecraft feats, since it's a temporary thing. *shrug*

The text is correct as published. The Snoop isn't supposed to be a one-dimensional investigator, or even a straightforward spook. Like every other Spycraft class, he's got enough layers and varied options that a player can produce several archetypes using the same template. Also, remember that to gain all those wonderful clues, the Snoop's frequently got to get into places he's not wanted - and get out alive.  Wink

I see plenty of covert feats a spook would need. As many are maxed out on blend, the mingling chain is a good place to start.
