Although I have a mortal fear now of using any info from the Mongoose boards (  Wink ) I see the listing for FC as a soft cover book.

True or false?

It's all going to depend on price breakdown.

I would think it would be a hardbound since it is a major product with MasterCraft involved.

I would MUCH rather have a hardcover, please.

Just to let my feelings know to the powers that be.

That's what everyone wants, basically by default. Of course, oftentimes fewer people want to pay the cost necessary to make up the difference between SC and HB Smiley There are a number of important factors in this decision - cost to us, cost to the consumer, set up costs, competitive position, long term returns, etc etc - which all have to be considered. We'll make the one that's best for everyone.

You know.. when he breaks it down like that.. I'm so happy I don't work in a field with manufacturing overheads...

Hardcover? Softcover?
I don't care, as long as I get the crunchy goodness we have been teased to death by the Crafty³.

Having worked for a manufacturing company... I complete understand where Pat's coming from.

I'd prefer hardcover, but if the numbers don't work for Crafty. I'll be happy with soft, right I just want the game to come out..... *chopping at the bit*

I'm not an expert in the printing/publishing/money side of things (or of any 'side' actually), but would pre-orders 'help' the book being hardcover?

Cheers! Cheesy

Nope. The money's the same whether you collect up front or at the back end.
