Is that the same sort of SoG that's meant to exist inside a certain Police Telephone Box?

More related to an old, old Marvel (Epic) comic book call St. George Wink. The plot-immunity provided by this version is a little less comprehensive...

You mentioned a correlation to Paths and the Knacks from Back to Basics, so I was wondering if relative power level of abilities was similar. I can always wait for the release to get a better idea, but if I can use Back to Basics to get started on writing new Paths for my players, that'll just give me a little more awesome to hand over at our first FantasyCraft session

Those are probably close enough for government work. I was just going over them again as part of the prep for Declassified and the comparison is quite fair.

I figured it was probably somewhere around there. It'll make for some nice quick work with some of those Knacks that are already 5 tiers

While the concept is similar and you could certainly strip some Knacks for parts (or for mundane priests, if you liked), not all Knacks were as strong as Paths and not all go 5 steps. B2B was partially stripped down, as some folks wanted a slightly de-powered version of Spycraft to play with.

And since you asked, here's an example of a Path...

Path of Heroism
Heroism I: You gain two bonus action dice at the beginning of each dramatic scene. You may immediately give one of these dice to a hero able to see or hear you.
Heroism II: You may cast Command I and Heroism I once per scene.
Heroism III: You may cast Heroes’ Feast and Prayer once per scene.
Heroism IV: You gain the battle plan I class ability (see page XX).
Heroism V: You gain DR 5/special characters.

When I gain Heroism II, does that mean I can cast a spell called Heroism I or do I get the ability listed? I strongly belive it is the second, just want to make sure Smiley

So do priests get spell points? Cuz the above indicates that they get a small number of spells from their paths which are doled out by scene.

I'd assume it's more like a D&D 3E spell-like ability, in that you can cast it without having to meet the normal requirements (skill check, spell point expenditure, reputation cost) once per scene.

That's pretty much it. Not all paths are spells, but when a Priest gets a spell from a Path, he can cast it the listed number of times (generally, at will if a 0 level spell - otherwise 1/scene and in some rare cases 1/adventure). He makes no Spellcasting check (his gods do the casting for him) so there's no Spell Points to worry about, but he still has to pay rep costs.
