Here are some questions I have:

1)I have a problem with the Master (WOF pg 115) Specialty in combination with Marial Artist:
They both grand the Martial Arts feat, so you loose 1 feat when you play the martial Artist with that specialty. In the 1.0 rules they have the same problem, but then you may take 1 Melee or Unarmed Combat feat instead. Is this still the case?

2)Grapple (Garrote) and Surprise round:
The purpose of using a Garrote is to use it before the target is aware of you and to silence him, so it would be logical to use it in a surprise round. But the grapple rules do not allow you to use it in the surprise round, because it is a Full round action and the Surprise round offers only a half action. So can you use the Grapple action during the surprise round?

Yes. Morgenstern has pointed out that once or twice somewhere (can't find where).

2) "the Surprise round offers only a half action" - That's not correct.

In the surprise round, you can perform a free, half, or full action... just not 2 half actions. See page 323 under "No groups aware of each other" and "Some groups aware of each other". The groups with surprise "may take 1 free action, 1 half action, or 1 full action during a surprise round".

So if you are in position before the ambush goes off, you can do a full round action initiate a grapple (or like a Cyclone attack, as I was frequently reminded of yesterday...)

In 2.0, whenever you are granted a feat you already have, you instead take a feat from the same tree that you qualify for.  I believe it's in the beginning of the 2.0 feats chapter.

A common sense houserule I don't have to house rule. :cool:

Thanks for the reply.
I have the book before the errata, and have the file on PDF. But a book is easyer to read, and I checked the PDF and I saw my mistake.
