Um, were we told that it was sent to the printers?  Huh?

Hoody hoo!

Yes, there was a bit of a gap there. The truth of that matter is that it initially didn't look possible to get it to GenCon but circumstances unexpectedly changed mid-stream, causing us to scramble a bit to get it done and out the door. Then there was a fuzzy waiting period where we were waiting to hear whether it would make the show and coordinating several other things, so word that the book had gone gold kinda didn't make it out. Such is the price for speed.

I'll take getting the book sooner over simply hearing about it sooner.

Uh, speaking of which, wasn't the PDF going to be released in advance of the hardcopy? Smiley

Ooh, good catch. Having gone to the printers, it should be mere hours away from pdf ready.  Cool

At what frequency does checking the website move from "enthusiastic" to "creepy and obsessive?" Tongue

I think more than once every 5 minutes or so...  I mean, casually browsing back by to check and see if updates happen (posts or otherwise) is a normal thing.  Sitting there, hitting the refresh button every 2-3 minutes is a little over the top Tongue

That is... unless you're as bored as I am right now... the staff outnumber the library patrons 2-1.  Sigh.

Sorry, it's sitting on the table near my PC. No halfling sitting going on around here.

I think I'll be good and wait until I see what happens at GenCon before buying any PDF's which may or may not be releasing in the near future. Y'know, just in case.

About the frequency that I have been checking it Tongue

Seriously, I am looking forward to getting a hold of this, and this is coming from someone who isn't even big on the fantasy genre as a whole (just never got into it for some reason... I tended to stick to more modern or sci-fi settings).

Ashes to ashes,

I feel like a sixteen-year-old about to go on his first date.  Between the anticipation and the dread caused by Pat's "scramble to get it out the door" remark [insert nightmares of L5R 3.1 Revised here], I'm a wreck.  Embarrassed

Christmas in August...please, let it be! One of the members of my gaming group is about a month away from shipping off to basic training. He's decided he wants to be all that he can be...in the CF navy. I'd really like to be able run some sweet Fantasy Craft and maybe hook him before he's gone.
