I went, got sunburnt, saw the cast & the movie!

While I will not be posting spoilers, I will say the following:

No Stan Lee. The film is very well done, follows the history of the character very closely, and the meat of the story takes place between 1967-1975. Stay after the credits. There are a few surprises too.

Here is the announcement: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJdYt-r-CxA

Here's the cast & Tempe's mayor making a proclamation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bC_eQcaqEWc
The thing he says to the cast about Dan Harkins is that Dan was conceived & born in the projection room of Tempe's Valley Art Theatre on Mill Ave.

Some really shitty quality video of Ryan Reynolds, Liev Schrieber, and Hugh signing autographs for the spectators who did not get to see the film but showed up anyway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LX6L0NXxarM

Just got through seeing it myself - and for free (the joys of working in a cinema).

I'm a big fan of Wolverine (the character) and enjoyed all the X-men films, and....

Well i wasn't blown away, but that being said I wasn't expecting to be.. I enjoyed the back story, the quips and the action even if they weren't breaking the mould. It overall pretty good.. the only downer (a bit like X3) was cramming in too many characters with pretty much nothing to do. However go see it.. and rememeber your RRAAAARRRRRRRRRRRR!
