So we've got both Seer and Channeler Schools out for Spellbound, and in each School there is a set of three different Disclipines for spell lists. Can a character freely chose between Disclipines in a School for his/her spell choices or is the list a concrete set of spells in order?

Once you have a school, you are free to choose from any Disciplines within that school. IIRC, there are some benefits to having a number of spells from a particular discipline (or there may be in the future), but right now discipline is mainly a tool for subcategorizing spells for purposes of opposition and so forth (such as immunity to Charm spells, etc.)

This doesn't address your question blackheart, but tiers from Alex' response.

Other mechanics are keyed into Disciplines. So far:

feat: Extra Discipline
spell: Detect Magic
