Undead Awakening
Through dark ritual you straddle the line between this world, and the next.
Prerequisites: Folk, Fey or Beast type.
Benefit: You gain Thick Hide 3, and Subdual Resistance 5.  Further you only need to eat half as often as normal.

Undead Apotheosis
Your nature slips ever further away from the living, perhaps irrevocably so.
Prerequisites: Undead Awakening.
Benefit: Your constitution increases by +1, you gain Claw I, and your Subdual Resistance increases to 10.
You may choose to fully embrace your changed nature once, when you level, changing your type to Undead.  If you do your starting action dice decrease by 1, you gain Achilles Heel [Divine] and you gain an unnatural aura, causing you to become Reviled [-10 Disposition] by all living characters.

Thoughts / comments / abuse?  I tried to err on the side of caution as the Undead type is massively powerful, even more so then construct [by a small margin], but it may be underpowered compared to other feats [outside perspective is always helpful in these suitations].

Undead Heritage
Sometimes, those who have defied death turn to the living for comfort, as one of your ancestors can attest.
Prereqisite: Career level 1 only, non-construct.
Benefit: You gain darkvision I and light sensitive, in addition to thick hide 2 and bite I. You only need 1 meal per day, but may not benefit from spices. You retain your standard Type but you may be targeted by additional effects and abilities keyed to the undead. Finally, you may ignore the first fatigued or shaken condition you suffer per scene.

Undead Legacy
The warmth of life hasn't quite left you.
     Prerequisite: Undead Heritage.
Benefit: You gain the undead type and the Achilles Heel (divine) quality. You do not breathe or sleep but must eat 1 living meal per week. That starting disposition of all NPCs that do not share your type is reduced by 5.

I wanted to avoid the Heritage / Legacy type chain because I explicitly want to avoid corpse lovin' - I tried to achieve more of a ritual type thing, something thats a choice, not something inherited.  I also didn't put non-construct because I don't think elementals should be undead, only living things.

So why a bite attack?  Also why not action die cost?  Undead is more powerful then Elemental and it costs an action die.

Actually, in regards to undeath and PCs my preferences run to the ghostly. (I blame such shows as The Ghost and Mrs. Muir and My Partner, the Ghost....) Smiley

There's nothing about being an elemental that precludes you from being a construct and vice versa.

Because I wasn't really trying, being distracted by the S&P article I'm writing.

Also, name me any corporeal undead that don't actually try to consume the living.

For my campaign, the closest I generally get to undead PCs is the Unborn and the Dhampir (kind of day-walker-esque humanoid with vampire heritage).

Only because they're anorexic and snooty, respectively. Tongue
