Does the fact that I've barely slept in the last week and a half count for anything?

Dude! Shocked Don't go killing yourself for my sake, I'm just joshin' ya.  Go get some rest.  Marathon writing like that is just going to mean more editing later.

Well, when the Rogue class mysteriously has a fireball ability, and the magic class is able to pick locks.. ...we'll know why.  Smiley

Ironically, I think Mages can pick locks...

Unless you can sneak attack with hand grenades, I doubt it.  A ray of frost I can see doing some sneak damage though.

This is what the end of a manuscript always turns into...a jog than becomes a run, then a dash, then a sprint, then a desperate "OMFGIT'SGOINGTOEATMEGOTTORUNLIKEI'VENEVERRUNBEFOREOMFG" thrust across the finish line, after which you collapse, gasping, and wonder if this is the time that will finally get you.

The part about this I like the most is the subtle implication that FC is imminent (for certain definitions thereof).  Grin

Well, imminent to the printer anyway... then we just have to pray no one sneak attacks the printing press with a grenade.

Followed by someone finding a typo on page 96 that completely changes one of the rules, just after the Quark XPress file has been sent to the printers... and the hope against hope that you can get the  changes to them before they actually start the run....

Yeah, back when the program that I used to work for had me working on their publications Quark was pretty much all there was... and then InDesign came out, and it cost less than updating Quark... I still remember the rosy glow of using a global search & replace* that actually did what you wanted, and indexing that functioned. Easier to use, faster, more powerful, more stable, and cheaper to boot.... Cheesy

For home use I now play with Page Plus, which does what I need it to, but I loved InDesign. I just couldn't afford it for my own use.

The Auld Grump, lost in nostalgia tonight, it would seem.

* In all fairness, Quark's Global Search & Replace also worked... even when what you were replacing showed up in the middle of other words....  Angry

Sleep Deprivation
A character may stay awake for up to 24 hours without effect.
Thereafter, he becomes fatigued and must make a Fortitude save
(DC 15 + 1 per previous save) at the start of each 24-hour period
without at least 4 hours’ sleep. With failure, the character falls
unconscious for 1d4+4 hours.

nothing good comes from it!
