Hey Where Is Spycraft 2.0 Pocket Edition?

Grr. Please trust me when I say that we're doing everything we can to figure out what's going on here. There are a number of parties involved (us, Mongoose, and the distributors themselves), so it's much slower going than any of us would like. As soon as I hear back on what's happening, we'll get you guys an update.

Tomorrow or Friday I will try to find out if the Pocket Edition is being carried by Ingram, if it is I may cancel my Amazon order and try to get it through a local bookstore.

Like I said - it is not so much a time factor for me, I already have more copies of the game than any sane person could need.

But I find the fact that Amazon is no longer even offering it for purchase worrisome, it has got to be a bad sign. Not your fault in any way, I suspect some failure of communication between Mongoose and Amazon. But I also don't think that this is the first such failure between the two.  By now the paths of communication should have been pretty much regularized.

This cannot be good for folks who are more in need of the book than I, the wider the distribution net the better, and Amazon casts a very wide net. So, I worry.

Hmmm, Ingram does not carry either the Pocket Edition or the regular hardcover.  (For those who are not in the States - Ingram is a book distribution company that covers many of the independent bookstores across the country - Ingram not carrying Spycraft means that you cannot order it through small local bookstores, and some of the larger stores that are not part of a national chain.)

Woohoo! It shipped while I was running my Delta Green Spycraft game tonight. I guess that they finally got it in. It is still not listed as being available from Amazon though, it looks like they may have just gotten enough copies in to cover existing orders.

i tried to get the pocket edition from amazon.de and bookdepository.co.uk,
but its out of stock. they both ship free, so i'd prefer them instead ordering directly from mongoose.
have you any news on this?

Got Pocket Edition and Shadowplay from my FLG. I introduced Spycraft to them quite some time ago, and they've been fantastic about keeping up to date.

It appears that Amazon is ordering copies as needed, which means that it isn't always listed as "available" in their inventory. Should you wish to continue ordering through them, your best bet is to keep trying until they get it in.

On a larger scale, we and Mongoose are hard at work to resolve the recent book trade issues as quickly as possible. In the meantime, please consider ordering through Mongoose or an FLGS. Though they don't usually include free shipping, both are reliable sources and support the hobby as a whole. Also, when you order through Mongoose, we creators take a (somewhat) larger chunk of the pie, which is a great help when it comes to us keepin' on keepin' on.

Good to know. MY (F)LGS has just the Spycraft core book even listed, and they keep it as a 'by order only item'. I'll go harass them a bit about it and then decide how to split my order between them and Mongoose.
