Pat kinda likes it sloppy.  Just not while he's gaming.

Dibs on seconds!

I did see you trying to nudge us back into conformance with decency and good taste, Krensky... but then I saw Alex' response. Tongue

Wow, this thread went to hell real fast.  Roll Eyes

Anyway, I just downloaded the new GC screen from DrivethruRPG (which took about 1 minute on the works T1 line) and printed it out.  About a 100 times better than the low resolution one.  I actually printed the 4th and 6th page back to back and laminated it as a Combat Sheet for players to use which has the Actions and Critical Miss/Weapons Tables on it.

Just did some quick window swap comparisons, and the hi-res version blows the original download away.  Thanks to all involved.  Now all I have to do is pay for my new Savage Worlds sreen to use it. Cheesy

On another note (slightly more on topic than the other thread in here), has anyone been noticing degradation in the free verison of Foxit? The text on the hi-res version actually looks worse in Foxit at 100% than the original download, and I have to blow it up to 200% to see the quality difference.  Under Acrobat Reader, the hi-res always looks better.  As a matter of fact, I've resorted to re-installing Acrobat Reader on my computer because all of Crafty's PDFs look blurry to me in Foxit, but crisp in AR.

Glad you think so too.  It is quite a difference even when you view it at say, 300% or so.  Cheesy

I use Foxit exclusively. The hi-res GC screen is illegible at 100% magnification on my 15" laptop screen (quality, not size). Crafty products in general are legible, but the text is so damned small (see screen size) I cannot display and read an entire portrait-oriented page without getting a headache.

Apparently folks don't mind sacrificing bandwidth for resolution. Noted.

I can't speak for FoxIt as none of us use it (we work exclusively in Adobe CS2). I double-check all files before they go live (obviously) and wouldn't release anything that looks subpar in Acrobat however.

Speaking only for myself, bandwidth and electronic storage space are effectively free (in that I have more of both than I need, and don't pay incrementally).

The bandwidth is always worth it for quality.

I'm starting to feel that FoxIt is gimping the free version in an attempt to get you to buy the upgrade.  Acrobat Reader might be slow, bloated mess, but all my PDFs certainly look better in it.  I'm also a fan of the Mad Irishman's character sheets, and FoxIt doesn't support layers. Sad

I do pay for my version of FoxIt, so can't speak to whether they are downgrading quality in the free version.

My version of Foxit seems to be handling layers just fine.

The current free version does layers too.

OK, some how I flipped a switch in FoxIt to stop it checking for updates.  Sad  So yes, I know after layer functionality without waiting for Acrobat to boot up.  Still seeing a difference in display quality, but I'm just going to blame that on, "They want you to buy the full version."
