No need; my wife desires to be in production mode for the next 10 years or so. She is, in essence, personally curb-stomping Pat's ZPG policy. Tongue

N-PG, N!

It's not enough to stop. The process must be reversed. Wink

I find this statement strange and unsettling, like a child laughing at a two-legged dog on a skateboard. Why? Why must you harsh the mellow? It's done nothing to you.

I will ask you to do my Operations Research homework while you tell me about cricket.  Did the Pakistani's and Sri Lankans ever play their game?

Operations Research, eh? I had to wikipedia it, but sounds like fun! Also, possibly evil. Wink

Nup, no match between the Pakistanis and the Sri Lankans, to the best of my knowledge (one of the downsides to living in a rabidly sport-loving country is that we apparently only rabidly love hearing about our own team, and even then only when we're winning). I think last I heard 8 Sri Lankan players were injured in the gunfire, so I imagine they'd be scrabbling to actually field a team.

It sounds like it should be really interesting.  Then the online class... I couldn't even get interested enough to cheat.  Depressing really.

I didn't know if the attack was before or after.

Oh, right. The match was part of a series. First test was played to completion in Karachi, resulted in a draw. The second test was in Lahore, and the attack happened as the Sri Lankan team was driving to the ground for the beginning of the third day's play.

I don't think I've ever met anyone who ever said that their online class was awesome. Which is kind of interesting.

Ask me about cricket. Please?

Okay.

Underarm bowling: Legitimate tactic or attempt to win a game through bending the rules unfairly?

Yeah, I went there Wink

Wow, so many talented people...

As for me I have been a wage slave to computer help desks for about 7 years now.
Both in Desktop support (98, ME, and early XP days) now moved to server support for Windows 2003 server and Exchange.

You can put me down for more than a passing obsession with 80's cartoons.
I also have a knack for see patterns in Collectable card games.

Just thought - I can help out with body modification. My Wife and I have a lot of tattoos and piercings. In fact i'm just finishing off my biggest piece - my whole back is covered with one big tattoo.

Oh that's funny! First genuine laugh I've had all day -- well played, Wolverine! Cheesy

Friend of mine is a tattoo artist and the one thing he's done that I'm not sure can ever be topped is a tattoo of Chris Farley feeding a Patrick Swayze centaur that covered the guy's entire back. And before anyone calls shenanigans, I honestly wish that I was creative enough to come up with something that ludicrous on my own.

So indicating that after meeting you she decided we have a moral imperative to flood the world with our babies would have made your weekend better somehow? Interesting. Tongue

Pat,

I have several advanced degrees in Roman Catholic theology, specializing in morality.  As obscure as many other things on this thread, I suppose, but I'm happy to help if I can. Smiley

Damn, here I get some work done offline and Pat's asking about a list of things people can do...
Late as always.

Let's see:
-Guns (gee that's a surprise, isn't it?)
-Animism/Shamanism
-History (especially medieval history)
-Cultural geography (for those who want to know, it's the science that's analysing the influence of terrain on societal development)
-Cultural anthropology (mainly of the slavic and arab people)
-Melee weapons, their use, traditions and production

Don't worry - this is a very long-term thread I hope to be drawing upon for projects for many months or even years to come. Smiley
