Shocked Thomas Henchman?  That, sir, is thoroughly awesome, and I believe you have made a grave error by placing this message in the "I ought to be ashamed" thread.  Stand tall, stand proud!  Grin

Mr. Henchman deserves not only to have a mastermind named after him, but also a medal in honor of his name's sheer awesomeness.

The only way to make it better might be to create Thomas Henchman, henchman - and even then I'm not sure it's actually a significant improvement.

Skazka
Heh - it is not the act of naming that shames me, sir,  but rather the fact that I have stolen said name, out of pure and petty envy of its sheer splendor. Tongue

I have on past occasion met a Murderer, a fellow with the first name (never used) of Death, a dentist named Swallow, and at the other end of the scale  there was a computer programmer in the 1980s (author of the actually very good Borderlands from Electronic Arts) named Ted Schmeckpepper. I went to0 school with a girl named Mary Christmas... her sister's name was Holly... some parents should be shot....

OK, fair enough.  Though, to be fair, who could meet a man named Thomas Henchman and not be filled with that same petty envy?

Also, I am jealous of how many badassly-named individuals you know...plus Mary Christmas...What an unfortunate name.
On a related note, my dad went to high school with a girl named Candi Kane.  I wish I were kidding.

Both Death Pettigrew (Age about 70, back in 1975) and Mr. Murderer (I don't remember, or never learned, his first name) lived around Kittery, Maine in the 1970s. Mr. Murderer was a teacher at Mitchell School on Kittery Point. Mr. Pettigrew was given his name by bibliomancy - his mother opened the Bible at random and named him after the word her finger was resting on. He was lucky not to be named Deuteronomy....

As for Mary Christmas... there's not a whole lot you can do with the last name of Christmas, but naming your girls Mary and Holly....  Roll Eyes I have a horrible feeling that if they had a son they would have named him Jolly.

Heh - I ran across This Song on an album of Canadian songs I recently purchased. If Eric doesn't run his O' Canada campaign soon then I may make an adventure around it.... Tongue (I can't really complain - I like Stompin' Tom Connors....)

The Auld Grump, any song that ends in moose calls is one to cherish....
Good news for me - Eric has an adventure planned out for a few weeks from now - though the title fills me with... dread? One of Our Zambonis is Missing. Do I really want to know? Tongue

And I have learned the name of one of the other PCs, who will be linked to my ex-Mountie. A stripper named Strawbery Milkshake.  Shocked I know full well that she created the character just to horrify me. Tongue

Last year I bought my girlfriend a nightgown for St. Valentine's Day/her birthday (they are a couple of days apart).

A Lanz nightgown....

(Image from Vermont Country Store, where I ordered it)

What can I say - it was February in Maine, this was something that she would appreciate. Tongue

Yeah, that Auld Grump, he sure knows how to party.

(as a late aside, I knew a girl in school named Stormy Weathers, who had a sister named Wendy)

Hey, back in his day that plunging neckline was quite daring. And a tall girl's ankles would be exposed. Tongue

One of the rules that I have set for myself is that on St. Valentine's Day I always have strawberries and chocolate dip ready, just in case. This was a lesson that I learned the easy way. Smiley

A couple of years ago, when there was no way that Jackie was going to make it down to see me. I was in the supermarket. Feeling misty and nostalgic I saw that there were strawberries in the produce section... so I bought them and some chocolate to dip them in.

Needless to say Jackie did show up, and I picked up points for being ready. Smiley

The Auld Grump, cuddly, you know, like a hedgehog. (Actual quote from one of my students...Smiley )

Hey! Hedgehogs are cute. An unfortunate number of them get named Sonic though...

How do you make a sonic screwdriver? One hedgehog, a shot of vodka, and a glass of orange juice.

How about Paige Turner and Mark Page. (Both folks who were in a game back in the early 'nineties.)
