Ooooh I like it.

The posters to the site would have to be anonymous of course, with most of the pictures taken with either digital cameras, or more often than not, cell phones.

For added fun, have the agency's Control bring it to the team's attention. Nothing like starting the day like a Lipton tea bag, already dangling in the hot water....

They did this in the first/twenty-eighth season of Dr. Who as well, with a group tracking the Doctor's visits to Earth.

That actually sprang up in the Doctor Who novels back in the 90s, of which RTD wrote one

The sad thing is that when he answers to someone else, RTD can turn in some pretty decent work, but make him the show runner and you're suddenyl deluged with all his most irritating ticks and quirks.

Ah. Haven't read all the Doctor Who novels. There were just too many coming out for too long a stretch there.

Because I have been asked (again) to run a game set in another Control's Spycraft game I started listening to old cowboy songs and new....

Big Iron got me thinking in a different direction than I intended - what if the scene the PCs saw, one of their own taking down the villain with a single shot, proved fals, either a bullet from a different gun, or multiple bullets.

Is it likely that the PCs would just write it off as 'one of those things', or would they dig, and does what they are digging for want to be found. I decided to save it for CSI: Arkham, should I ever get around to running it. (Not all the missions need to be unexplainable....)

I got back onto my original train of thought by watching a Toby Kieth/Willie Nelson video. Wish that I had done so before the last time I ran a game in this setting... but not what I would call an 'odd source for inspiration'.

The Auld Grump, who will have run more games in the setting than the creator has after this....

Not an odd source at all, but the news can be very useful.

As an example I have been keeping an eye on Blackwater ever since reading about them in a Christian Science Monitor article (not at all approving) a year and a half ago. Back then I thought that they were treading close to being villains, and now it looks like they have stepped over the line. I think that they may finally have nailed their own coffin.

For more of that subject: Licenced to Kill, Hired Guns in the War on Terror by Robert Young Pelton.

I too have been keeping an eye on the Blackwater hearing. Blackwater may be in trouble, but a new company and you can start all over again. I've kept an eye on the merc/security business since doing a paper on the Executive Outcomes in the late 90's.

Ravenwood is the group there, but it's essentially the same thing. That's one of the things I love most about the show - the mercenary element.

That would be Damian Hirst's £50m diamond-encrusted skull.

For the Love of God, 2007. Platinum, diamonds and human teeth.

Heh, a bit... ostentatious. eh?

Mind you, my ancestors used to collect skulls, sometimes chasing the eye sockets with silver, or running them on belts.... People tend to forget that the Celts were head-hunters, back in the way-back-when. (Using one such skull in my current scenario as a matter of fact. Older than the castle that is is held within.)
