Narnia!

So I saw Prince Caspian this weekend with the lady, and as the mice are doing there thing I whispered to her:  "Bunnies and Burrows meets Spycraft."

I do rather like the character of Ripicheep.  Grin

Watership Down gave me a similar reaction. "Hey guys, imagine an RPG where you're all RABBITS!"
They didn't like the idea too much  Sad.

I've got a couple holdout for dwarves, but most would deal quite nicely with being an animal.  For my dwarf fans, I would need to build to where they trust my judgement on them finding something fun.

Well, there IS the beast quality in Fragile Minds.

Perfect for talking animals and magical girl tutors.

I played in a Bunnies & Burrows/Call of Cthulhu crossover game once. Things living under a house, horrible things like rats, with human faces and hands.... We died to a bunny.

My rabbit was the last to die, but then he was a tad psychotic to start with  Sort of a Satanist, and his Satan was Man. 'When you are on the road at night, and you see the headlights, and you freeze, you are staring into the eyes of God!'. I suspect he and the General would have had words to share....

The Auld Grump, the animated movie was surprisingly good.

Yeah. Bunnies and Burrows is the game I've always wanted to play, but can never find players for. When we're picking a new game, most of my players will start out saying "we'll play whatever you want to run..."..."Except THAT"

Grr..Plus I only have the gurps version. I'd really like to find the original. Yeah, good luck with that.

That is cool. Kinda reminds me of the "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh."

From a book on shipwrecks, by Edward Rowe Snow -
A few thin Slices, wash'd in Salt-water, were brought into the Tent, and given to every one, with a good Quantity of Rockweed to supply the Place of Bread. The first Piece the Master eat, was Part of the Gristles that compose the Breast, having the Flesh scrap'd clean off, for his Stomach, as yet, abominated the Loathesome Diet, tho' his importunate Appetite had, more than once, led him to survey with a longing Eye the Extremities of his fore Fingers.... The Mate, and two other Opposers refus'd to partake of the Flesh that Night, but were the first the next Morning to beg an equal Share in the common Allowance.

The dish in question was ship's carpenter.... A fairly Lovecraftian account of cannibalism in Maine....

I ran across this Weird Houses site via Stumble Upon.

One house I actually like, and this one -

Would make a good headquarters for either an Agency or a Mastermind.

That too. Tongue Random Internet Inspiration at that, at least for most. Having a link to a site and or images makes it easier.

Some is not so random - Gray's Anatomy and the Maine cannibals quote were very deliberate picks, not random at all. Just odd. I grew up listening to Edward Rowe Snow being read aloud, back when I was a young Grump, and went looking.

Right now Stumble Upon is in the lead though. I tend to take it for a spin towards the early Ack Emma, when my insomnia kicks in.

The Auld Grump, and trust me, Stumble Upon can be odd.

It may not inspire you but I already know how I am going to use this -

The image is of a massive oak tree in South Carolina. Photo by Mark Regs (?).

The Auld Grump - Oak and ash and thorn good sir,
All on a midsummer's morn.
Surely we sing,
Of no little thing,
In oak and ash and thorn....

Are you sure that is not a Redneck Tree?
