The first character in my Steampunk game to reach 16th level happened last night. Two more will happen next week, How the heck did that happen? (Well, aside from two years or so of play....)

The sad thing is that their levels have been creeping up quietly, and aside from the Mage their higher level class abilities have not entered into the game all that much. The Advocate just hit 16th, next week the Mage and the Intruder....

Well, certainly ... I was once in a Marvel SAGA campaign that last 4 years.

But in this instance I was referring to the players for achieving 16th level.

Heh, not so much 'Congratulate me' as 'What the heck!?' Tongue

Especially given that I have tried to ditch the campaign at least twice.  More episodic than epic, with no underlying plot, until the last few months. (It was driving me crazy - I like machinating....) Even now the Mastermind is as much comedic as threatening. He is redeemable, just misdirected.

And the group still goes out of its way to avoid violent confrontation. I doubt that they have used half of their abilities over the course of the campaign. (Except for the Mage - but he went for trickery, deceit, and misdirection in his build.)

my group is very different, they are combat freaks and focus on combat plans, tactics and spectacular kills, but everything else including role-play is rather uncreative.

They all conspired to level up their characters when you werent looking, then used your senility to convince you that was the level they were supposed to be  Wink Tongue Grin

I feel like I'm behind. I've been running the same bi weekly game for two years, and they are only level 10.

It depends on how much goofing around the players do during the game.

In that case, I'm surprised we're not level 2... Grin
