Recently I remembered how much I loved working with inkscape. So to exercise it I decided to pick up an old habit of character sheet design. I used to do this all the time for D&D, cyberpunk and other RPGs, but this is the first time I've had a go at a spycraft 2.0 one. Though since I'm in a stargate game at the moment, you'll notice some non-standard skill foci.

It's very much a first draft, still needs a second side. I've gone for a landscape layout, as I find it allows for an easier layout. I've always used 4-page character sheets like this. Though it does tend to lead to less space than I know some people like to have.

I've also made the deliberate decision of having nowhere for tracking status such as vitality etc. Almost everyone I know does this on a separate scrap of paper to their character sheet, and it means the sheet doesn't get ruined by constant use of an eraser.

But the thing is, I've run plenty of 2.0, but played very little. So I'd love to hear what people think. Anything missing? anything that really requires more room? or less?

wow, thanks a lot Cheesy

I guess I should start work on the reverse side then.

Wealth, subplots, contacts and ... anything else? There's quite a lot of space to fill as I've squeezed so much onto the front site.

Very nice start.  I already like the way it's shaping up.

For gear, I've always like the gear sheet from The Big Score, and wished we had something like it for the standard system.  I'm also of the opinion that class abilities are feats are numerous enough to easily fill a whole page.

Keep up the good work.

That is pretty snazzy.  Am I missing it, or are proficiencies in there someplace?  Oh wait, there they are.  Nevermind.  Yes, plenty snazzy.

This is a very snazzy character sheet.  Would you be willing to post the Inkscape version so we could modify the non-standard skill foci?

Thanks.

Yeah I don't see why not. When it's finished I'll see if the crafty guys are interested in hosting it on this site, in the fun submissions download section, in both pdf and original svg form. Of course that version will feature standard skill foci only.

If it is pdf form and you have the full Adobe then you can modify it slightly as you need.

Also, something I only noticed recently, Inkscape can import pdfs, so you can edit them to your hearts content.

You should be able to edit the PDF in Inkscape too, but having the SVG (presumably) would be nice too. Smiley

Some of us don't want to shell out the money for the full Adobe.

I can understand wanting to put everything on there and only using the stuff you need, but including the Stargate stuff and the Spellcasting "skill" and then ignoring them for a modern espionage game would confuse new players.

A beautiful and well-done page.

oooo, another great program I have neither the time, patience, or talent to master.  Cry

(I admit, I've half tempted to rig me up some half-decent 3.5 sheets with this and what's lying around on my hard drive.)
