I am unsure whether to post this here or in the Signs of the Impending Apocalypse thread.

If you think that they will still be open in July, Borders has pre-orders at half cover price (cheaper than Amazon).

I'm betting he's regretting the Tsunami reference right now. Wondering if we'll start working down the list as release approaches.

Just finished Blind Man's Bluff, the last installment in Peter David's Star Trek new Frontier saga. I enjoy his books a lot, and the NF ones in particular. It seems that a new book is not a sure bet, depending mainly in how many they sell of this one. If you haven't read any Star Trek books, these are well worth a try. This last one is really good, event if the tone has been a little bit more dark than it used to be a few books ago...

If you haven't read Joel Rosenberg's Guardians of the Flame series (especially books 1-3), you should put it on your reading list. It can be dark, but it is a well executed story of a college gaming group who are transported into the bodies and world of their characters'.

I know I recommended it in it's own thread back in 2010, but with the sequel just having dropped..

Blood Oath by Christopher Farnsworth is a great occult/techno/spy thriller, and the new one, The President's Vampire, is just as cool so far. You Delta Green and Mythos fans should pick this one up. Innsmouth figures heavily.

Nat so much a recommendation as a warning... Bookdepository is making right now a promotion selling a different book each hour at around a 60% discount. you dont know which book until the hour starts, and there're only 500 copies of each... and they dissapear quick. Check it out in 50 minutes from now....

The Alloy Of Law, Brandon Sanderson's latest work, is up to par with the high bar he's  set for himself. It's a bit shorter than most of his stuff (around half the page count of the first Mistborn book), but still well worth the read. You don't have to have read the Mistborn trilogy first, but I'd recommend it anyway, if only to avoid spoiling certain parts of it for yourself.

Going to a signing/reading with the author tonight. Getting a copy personalized for one of my GenCon GMs.

The physical one? No. Hoping it'll arrive soon.

I've had the ebook for a while.

I just started "Moneyball". As a bit of a baseball fan and fan for a good story... it's been a fun read so far.
