I found  this in a spanish website, Zona Negativa...

There's going to be a TV series based in the Vertigo comic book Fables,  originally written by Bill Willingham.

The pilot will be written by Stu Zicherman and Raven Metzner , and directed by Damid Semel...

The director seems ok, did the pilot of Heroes and Life, but the writers made Elektra... so it's kinda scary...

ABC commissioned the pilot, to be made by Warner Bros.

The comic book is one of the last interesting things i've read in a while... but i'm not sure about how can they do this properly...

Just keep in mind the major flaw with Elektra, trying to explain The Hand to non-comic book fans, won't be an issue here since these are children's nrusery rhymes coming to life, probably original Grimm's over the sanitized version.

Meh. Leno is funny and all, but he'll really have to pull off something impressive to make me tune in. Besides, Stewart, Colbert, Olbermann, and Maddow keep my desire for news mixed with laffs sated.

Pretty much my take as well. I completely see where this move is coming from, especially for a struggling net like NBC (10 years ago I never would have expected to type those words), but this doesn't seem like a particularly winning move. Still, with the extremely low cost of such a show, perhaps it'll still work. I didn't initially think reality would work beyond the marquee shows, either.  :P

Well, Zucker (NBC's Entertainment Head) has stated that they do more original scripted programming than the other networks, even if it is by only a few extra hours. However, he did also go on to say that their cable programming and cable networks (USA, Bravo, Sci Fi, etc.) will have gains in 2009.

My parents are the only people I know who really watch late night shows, and they've been watching Craig Ferguson almost exclusively.

Well, the Scotsman is a very funny guy.

I think Don Rickles said it best while he was on Jimmy Kimmel. He was talking about interactions he has had with talk show hosts, particularly late night. "You're fun like Johnny [Carson]. The Scottish is good, Letterman hides, and Jay ... well, Jay." He motioned a so-so gesture. "He'd rather sit there, collect his money and drive home in one of his cars than anything else. But you, you're fun."

Works for me. The best scripted stuff is on cable anyway.

Eureka has managed to score a full 20+ eps for the third season, so I can't wait for that one to start back up, either.
