I know there was a GC screen for Classic Spycraft (AEG1801).  I ran a convention in Orlando, FL and AEG sent us a whole box full of them to hand out as promo items.

any thoughts on making something like this for 2.0?

This has been asked before, and the answer back then was "Not anytime soon." It's simply not profitable, or somesuch. Anyways, Lord Kruelos has made a pretty decent GC screen. It might not be pretty, but you can pretty much mix and match whatever you feel you need.

I think the fact that AEG gave away a box full as promo items pretty much shows how much of a seller such things are. It's a pity because a good Screen can really help sell a game I think. For example, just look at the, second, attempt that Black Industries did for WFRP. Very heavy card with some lovely artwork/cartography on the player's side. Of course, they needed to after the mess they made of their first attempt Wink

Yeah... as far as GM Screens go, I wasn't too impressed with the Spycraft 1e screen. 3 flimsy panels. Sad

I use the Lord Kruelos handouts, but I'd like to pare it down a bit so it would fit on a 4 panel screen. There are a lot of tables I rarely use during play.

I do not think that I have ever used the Lord Kruelos screen as a screen.

As a ready reference it probably sees more use during the game than the Spycraft rulebook itself.

Either way, it is well worth downloading.

I now have a savage worlds screen, and it is lovely... yet to use it for Spycraft, but swappable inserts has been a god-send for other RPGs.

...savage worlds screen...
Is that the one you can put your own inserts into? If so I have that as well and it's excellent. I've created my own inserts for all sorts of games.

I don't find landscape screens give you enough area, with only 3 panels.

I've contemplated making my own 4 panel screen with some contact paper and cardstock. Anyone try that?

Yes.

As to the landscape format, I much prefer it, purely because it gives me a better view of the players/battlegrid/dice rolls.

Horses for courses Wink I find that landscape allows me to fit more information in. I also, like spinningdice, like that I can see over the top of it easier.

One of the guys in my group did that (he actually sold a few, at cost, on eBay last year). Pretty sturdy affairs (they withstood my giant d12 (actually numbered 1-4 3 times Wink). He still uses his original one on a regular basis.

Do the laws of mathematics not work the same where you live? Last I checked, 8.5 x 11 = 11 x 8.5. Wink

Cheesy Yeah, it's same size but, for some reason, I find that I can place more on landscape paper than I can on portrait Undecided

I used to find that, hence most of the home-made character sheets I made were Landscape. Of course now I'm older and have the internet and usually just download a sheet.

Lord_Kruelos has been working his way through making the screens for the last few months. We've set him up with the stuff he needs to "Crafty-ize" it, and it's looking great, so hopefully we'll see the final version soon!
