I wish that the World on Fire PDFs would come out soon.

Granted. World on Fire has been available in PDF form for a while now*, it's just that YOU can't get it.

I wish Crafty-Pat would get called to write a new soopa' spyie series now that The Unit is marching along Dodo Lane.

Let's see how you pervert that.  Grin

*Really, I have the setting PDF... but if you meant the new printed Shadow Play and Odd Jobs, well that another matter.

Granted! After suffering a near-fatal brain haemorrage during the writing, it turns out to be an unabashed piece of shit. The kind of piece of shit that's actually quite good on the first reading, so Pat gives it a pass, barring a few typos. It's so bad, in fact, that it results in the demise of both Crafty Games and The Unit as a TV series. Well done you!

I wish I had an ice-cream right now.

Granted! His cover album of Barry Manilow songs comes out tomorrow!

I wish that I had a really good stereo system!

Granted! It's in your house - the one that's on fire right now. The one with family, friends, and all your stuff inside.

I wish my son didn't get upset when I laugh at Happy Tree Friends... Undecided

Granted. Instead he just gives you the stare. The Care Bear Stare.
A feat that involves him turning, theiranthropically, into an actual Care Bear to do so.

I wish Yoko had been shot instead of John

Granted. Unfortunately, it turns out she really was his creative muse. Sixteen albums of maudlin (and insipid) love-lost songs later "going lennon" has entered common usage as denoting utter failure (e.g. "the banking system went lennon").

I wish I could fast-forward the next couple months, with no changes resulting in the outcome.

Granted! You just have.

What, you didn't notice any difference? You asked that nothing be changed....

I wish that miniatures were less expensive these days.

Granted! Now they are made out of gingerbread and they are worth $0.10. Let me tell you it's rare to have one come out COMPLETE IN ONE PIECE when you unpack it, thus almost making them incredible collectable items... but, then again you just took it out of its blister. Ha! You missed your chance to sell your find for 25 cents!

I wish the BattleTech centers were making a come back, incredibly inexpensive to participate in and in force... Almost every city would have at least TWO.

Granted. Unfortunately, our increased proficiency in piloting massive robots of destruction means that the Earth becomes a greater target for the interstellar warlords, repeatedly invading, conquering, and pressing the survivors into lives of slavery and brainwashed cannon-fodder...

Congrads, you just doomed the planet.
I hope you're happy.

Granted! Your shiney new AC unit has the setting 'On', 'Fast Speed', 'Really Fast Speed' and 'Only Technically Legal Speed'. It has no 'Off' button, but hey, at least it has more than just the two settings now...

I wish the Seasons weren't as widely different in thier ambient temperature and weather as they are in the UK...

Granted! Now you can look forward to nothing but cold bleak rain, every day, 24 hours.

I wish that George Lucas would do the third Star Wars trilogy, and not screw it up.

The Auld Grump, I also wish that George would discover that Jar Jar had moved into Skywalker Ranch, but only he could see and hear him....

I also wish that George would discover that Jar Jar had moved into Skywalker Ranch, but only he could see and hear him....

Granted and... well, you asked for it... granted!

Lucas decides to go with the flow and make a third trilogy, so Jar Jar gives him all the creative input he needs and a few interesting ideas due to his being Lucas' new roomie, and lo and behold! The stupid beast is no stupid... you'll see he WAS in character. The real Jar Jar Binks is an educated, well-mannered and highly intellectual figment of George's imagination.

BOY! It's an incredible piece of space opera that really works! It's intelligent, fun, full of social and geopolitical commentary that's not forced, inane or immature, full of interesting and well developed cultures and races... The scripts for all three are made to the same high quality, with great pacing and gripping action... and the main characters! Oh, the main characters!

All is set, George rounds up his people and hands them the printouts...

"Important note: Neither toys or videogames until the movies are done!

Star Wars: Episode VII: Solos' Ruse" by George Lucas and Jar Jar Binks.

That does it. He gets institutionalized and looses all control over his creations. His daughters just don't care about the whole thing as it's just "boyish fantasies", and keep cashing the checks for Daddy's previous works and start pulling Hilton's and Spear's every other week. Star Wars never gets the chance to be redeemed and forever languishes as the mediocre licencing crap it became with the launching of second trilogy, absolutely controlled by the new scandal princesses of Tabloidland who need even more money to keep up with their wild escapades and damage-control.

But George gets visits everyday. It's his good old friend Jar Jar who chats with him as soon as the doors open and until bedtime. Such amanzing conversations they both have!

Nice going, Auld Grump.

I wish MMORPGS would just go AWAY! They are not rpgs, just hack and slash and collect the "unique" uberthingy to hack and slash everything, and everyone has one!

Granted! Now I can't play City of Heroes (you bastard!), and in my terminal depression I built and detonate a planet-busting nuke, using only the materals found in a high school science department chem-store.

I wish that Stargate SG-1 hadn't gone on so long, becoming a hopeless parody of itself.
