And your own wish?

The Auld Grump, beware of dyslexic djinn.

Oi! I keep forgetting to add my wishes... I wish trading card games evolved into Holographic battles. They still be kinda stupid, but hey! Holo Smash!  Grin

Granted.  Despite being stupid you end up getting hooked on them.  Anything you ever had resembling a life is quickly lost to the game.  You must have every card from every set.  Soon, you find yourself living on the street to save money just so you can buy more cards.  Friends and family lose contact with you, and one day you realize that you are all alone, but that is okay since you have your cards.   Not long after becoming unemployed and broke, you realize the only way you can ever keep up with the newest cards any more is to win them in ante games.  This works really well until the day you win the prize card from Chewbacca in a bitter match of wits and holography.  The next thing you remember after that is waking up in a hospital, armless.  You own the largest collection of Holocards in existence, but you are sadly no longer able to use them.

I wish I would quit doing stupid shit like staying up until 4AM in the morning and ruining people's wishes.

Granted! You ruin their wishes at a perfectly reasonable hour instead.

I wish that Michael Bay was killed and eaten by rabid transformers fans.

Granted!  He makes a movie of his resurrection that makes "Two Girls One Cup" look like Alladin.

I wish I had a carry permit that was good everywhere.

Granted! After just a day on the job as a secret agent you are shot and killed by animal rights activists.

I wish that I lived on the coast.

Granted! He starts World War III.
He's only been a counterproductive twit for five months, there is still plenty of time for that.

Fair enough, his predecessor in 8 years did more to damage international stability and goodwill towards the US than most anyone thought a former-alcoholic, uncritically born-again corporate puppet could, to say nothing of presiding over outrageous energy price gouging and corporate scandals involving major campaign contributors.  Hey, dream big, right?

Then again, that's why we have Spin Doctors...

To somebody coming from a multi-party country the extreme partisanship of most "normal" americans is often amazing - here I only encounter the same kind of subjugation to some kind of ideal/belief system in feminists.

People keep forgetting to follow up with their own wishes, and now a really funny thread is being derailed into tangency hell. Come on folks, let's stay on track, yeah?  Wink

Oh yeah!  Well my girl can kick your feminists butts!  Or just shoot them.

Part of the partisanship comes from the way our system is set up, and there generally are only two parties at the national level.  And about them spin doctors:  Their presence is a given.  The problem comes when, as now, the folks who should be calling the spin doctors on the BS are toeing the line in a way that makes Pravda blush.  (Really, Pravda did.)

Now for a wish:  I wish your girlfriend was hot like me.   Cheesy

Granted! You're molested to death by thousands of horny men. Your repeatedly perforated corpse is poured into a bag before being inserted into a coffin.

I wish I lived in Seattle.

...and your wish?  Wink

Time to go all Bauer and yell at the top of my lungs:

DAMMIT!  Lips Sealed

Now, glimmerrat. baby...

GRANTED!

As soon as you move into Seattle and have comfortably settled in, the impossible Tsunami does become a reality and you find yourself living in one of the thousand little islands (mainly the former rooftops of big buildings) just a 50 minute swim-away from the coast.

Your coral garden will be a killer one by next year, though!

I wish redtape was efficiently and perpetually eliminated all over the world.

Granted! God awakens and all his dreams, including us and all our bureaucracies, vanish as the mist in the morning.

I wish that Heather Alexander would find her voice again.

The Auld Grump, link is to her most song that I play the most frequently.

*EDIT*, that was weird - some odd editing effects....
