Granted! Your son now sleeps whenever your awake, and is wide awake (and noisy) whenever you nod off. (Feels that way already, don't it? Tongue )

I wish that I owned a clipper ship.

The Auld Grump, given fuel prices they might be profitable again....

Granted! The USS Grump strikes an iceberg and sinks on it's maiden voyage, bankrupting you and bringing about your imprisonment. Enjoy spending the next 20 years in 10x8 cell with a big fat hairy murderer who likes you a whole lot more than you like him...

I wish people didn't bag on the theme music for Enterprise so much.

The barratry was a bum rap, guv'nor!

Granted! They just bag on everything else about Enterprise twice as much.

I wish that my archnemesis had never leaned my secret identity!

Granted! Instead he learns your family's identities. He's going to have a lot of fun with that one...

I wish the exhaust hadn't dropped off my car on sunday.

I wish my son woud just. Go. To sleep.

Granted. Unfortunately, sleeper holds are not sanctioned for use on children. The authorities have been notified. Bad parent. Bad Bad.

I wish the dissertation gods would smile on me today.

Oops, somehow I missed a handful of other posts.  Ah well, I'm keeping the above.

I wish the exhaust hadn't dropped off my car on sunday.

Granted. Instead, your timing belt/chain broke and the engine seized up. It will cost hundreds of dollars just to find out if the engine is still functional.

I wish the dissertation gods would smile on me today.

Granted. It's a little known fact that the Trickster god (of whichever pantheon you worship) has theses in his domain. Good luck.

I wish my boy would hurry up with the potty training.

I wish my boy would hurry up with the potty training.

Granted! Swiftly going through the process and understanding the underlaying logic behind toilets and sewers, he decides he will spare the city the costs of having his poo moved to the neighboring streams, rivers and lakes, then pumped to re-potabilization plants and finally into your garden...

I wish there was an hour-long Spycraft: World on Fire cartoon.

Granted! It's finished but due to legal concerns, it's stuck in development hell where it shall languish FOREVAH!!

I wish i'd found all those blasted Holocrons on the Force Unleashed already.

Granted! You find all of them and become Force User Supreme, only to find that the search was just about the most entertaining thing in the game. Everything else went downhill... faster than a force push.

I wish there wasn't a development hell...  Undecided

Granted. You are now Duke Nukem. This is more like the Development Nirvana, as in the state of perfect nothingness.

I wish I wasn't as amused by the fact that people's Memorial Day is being ruined by rain.

Oh, my...! I caughed coffee all over the screen!  Grin

I wish I wasn't as amused by the fact that people's Memorial Day is being ruined by rain.

Granted! Now you are literally crying them a river which adds flooding to their general unhappiness.

I wish laughing so hard did not send coffee to the nostrils.

Granted!  Now when you laugh that hard the coffee leaks out of your eye sockets.

I wish the display on my fiancee's car would tell me what gear the automatic transmission is in.

Granted. Your fiance's car is now a cheap Japanese import with actual working electronic displays. Sure, you can tell what gear it is in, but you're still driving a Japanese import.

I wish people didn't cling to 170 year old agreements as if they were still 100% valid today.

Bucko, it's a Honda Civic, yes 2006, but the granted part is already true.

Granted, they aren't clinging to the arguments because they are still valid.

I wish more people in gov't appreciated the awesomeness of freedom, and would stop trying to steal what I have left.

Granted. They recognise the awesomeness of freedom, and can officially prove that you don't deserve as much as you have, so their efforts to take it from you are now official policy instead of theft.

I wish housecats had opposable thumbs
