Huh.  That's a nice manuscript you got there, kid.  Nice elfy fantasy stuff.  I'm sure it's what all the kids want these days.  Be a shame if... someone reformatted your hard drive or something.  All that hard work gone to waste.  KnowhutImean?

But, y'know... maybe we could offer you some... security... if we was to see a certain other manuscript go to press.  Somethin'... a little more our style.  I'm sure you know just the thing...
