I'm home sick. Because the wife is even more ill, I'm watching the kids right now while she sleeps. This is not a recipe that allows much complex thinking, so the tube is on. I'm watching a Future Weapons special on the M32. The M32 can also be found (in a sidebar) in BFoG:TiMG.

Brief background on the gun: Think 6-shot 40mm grenade revolver.

New rounds (according to the show):
* A new HE round has been developed taking advantage of the M32's longer chamber. This round has more explosive punch and shrapnel than the standard 40mm HE round. "Hellhound"
* A round that deploys a camera 700ft up on a parachute. "Hunter"
* 150,000 candlepower flare on a parachute. [I didn't catch the "name" of this round.]
* IR flare, as above. "Oracle"

I use these in my SG-1 game.

  • At my table, the Hellhound is a 66mm HEAT grenade in a 40mm package that costs 2 upgrades and can not be chosen as an initial stockpile. I also have the M1060 grenade available for 4 upgrades and using the stats of a 81mm HE mortar shell.
  • HUNTIR is a Cal III gadget combining three Cal II video bugs housed in 40mm shells and a Cal I a/v receiver.
  • The flares have the same illumination at my table as the Carl Gustav illumination shell. The IR version only helps those with night vision gear.

* A round that deploys a camera 700ft up on a parachute. "Hunter"

High-altitude Unit Navigated Tactical Imaging Round (HUNTIR).

Soldier Parachute Aerial Reconnaissance Camera System (SPARCS) is similar system, it's being manufactured and marketed by STK (Singapore Technologies Kinetics).

* 150,000 candlepower flare on a parachute. [I didn't catch the "name" of this round.]

Solar Flare.
