I like gargoyles. Wings and claws and a reassuring rocklike solidity.

Seconded! Gargoyles rock! (pun intended)
One of the few good things Disney has done for this world was the Gargoyles cartoon...

I've also developed a fondness of the Jagerkin, though I just view them as an 'alternate orc'.

Jager's rock..

Any were creature but as a typical girl gamer I find playing a really ugly character I bit of a bugger bear so fair folk would be cool (NOT fairies though they are for comedy value only).

I love to play a good face though Ethan Hunt as nothing on me I can talk the talk and I'm kinda practicing the walk  Wink

Favorite fantasy race?  All of them.
Okay, using what I know:

"Planetouched", 'cause I like blending planar stuff with core fantasy, and I'd love to see them actually at LEVEL ONE.

Shinnomen Naga from Rokugan (actually Eastern Naga)

Giants, especially ones like in Arcana Unearthed...  Those actually rocked.
Dragons (any).
Goblins (any)

Earthdawn Races:
Obsidimen, K'stulaami (winged lizard-folk), Normal lizard folk, and Windlings (fey)

From Mythic Races:
Blickish, Pevishan, and Sendasti... there are more, the book is great.

Gnomes that can actually stand on their own, and are not just seen as annoyances or dumber halflings.  I'm good with the "David the Gnome" type of character, but I also want the "tinker type" gnomes out there, merely for variety.

I could go on, but I'll shut up now.

Heh, I think that properly played faeries are anything but funny, save when they choose to be. People were afraid of the Good Folk, who were often murtherous and always unpredictable. Powries (redcaps) were every bit as much a part of faerie tales as sprites. Pouks and shellycoats would drown people for fun, and the high court of the fey would give a human soul over to the Devil every seven years as his tithe.

I would kind of like to see some Slavic fantasy races some time, Domovoi and Leszi, Vodonoi, and Grandfather Drowner... all fit the template for fey, but only the Domovoi makes a good house guest. Tongue

The Auld Grump, we dare no' go a-hunting, for fear of little men....

I don't know how the story ends...
But I do know what happens next.
