Just what the character gets, and all mission picks are at Caliber III

Also, I updated the Explorer with gear now.  Any suggestions/alterations?  I really wanted to give her an elephant for no reason at all.  Just to see if players noticed it.

Right I've just updated my soldier, thanks for the comments to you all.

I've changed Autofire Basics to Follow up shot as it fits more with my concept of him pressing home the attack (and Gaghiel, you were right about the effect it has on SMG's, I'd misread the feat description).
I've dropped the SMG forte and added Shotgun proficency, it seems a little daft for a trained soldier not to be capable with the Boomstick.

As for gear I've left his possession as is, my concept of Bull is that he has what he needs with him to do his job, no more no less; he's a gruff stoic fighter that gets through whatever. The mission gear covers those situations he just needs that little bit extra. (p.s. if I've made a mistake on any of the gear picks let me know, I'm very rusty with the SC rules). I've added a few more commons items to that effect as well.

Ok.. any further comments? If not then I'll post to the finished thread (and perhaps start on another one!)

Also is there any reason why VP/WP, knowledge  and request checks and sub/stress threshols aren't being included.. I know they're fairly easy to derive but aren't we here to present all the info for new players? And what about contacts??

All of those things are numerical values and such that I didn't bother to factor in yet (we can do that when we get it finalized).  Basically, they can either be determined by die roll or the half plus 1 rule and so I left that out for our final go around.  Also, in Convention games, contacts don't need fleshing out because they may not fit in a certain mission, so its better leaving them out or open so they can be used on the fly.

Also, as far as I remember, for mission gear, negative CHA doesnt factor into it.  You should still have both your 1W and 1S picks.  So go ahead and give him both.

Spycraft SP PDF 219 under the description for the Intel phase (which begins on 217): With a Charisma penalty, the character loses the same number of picks chosen from any category his classes grant him.

That being the case then, I suggest that you take your WIS down to 10 and bring your CHA up to 10.  Negative numbers are no fun.  Plus, the +1 wis bonus you get doesn't really make that big an impact where the -1 CHA can cripple your mission effectiveness.

The negative numbers and lack of gear don't really bother me as a player, but understanding that these are supposed to be used as demo characters for newbies I'll change it around and work in the extra gear; so that the Soldier is underbalanced through lack of gear... *sigh* See what happens when you go for a concept!

On most recent look, I see that we only need a Snoop and a Pointman.   Once we get the ones currently out there finalized, then we're good to go.  I'll be transferring over my explorer, and if you are done with any of yours, go ahead and shift them to the Finished Iconics thread also stickied in this same area.

Edit:  Also, if you need help finalizing one of them, let us know so we can work on it.  I'm more than happy to format things for you if you need it, and fill in blanks or what not should you not have enough time or are having writers block etc.

Should we use the Pointman with the flipped Generous and Versatility, or the 2nd printing raw version?

For those of you with characters in the works on here, do you need help with any of them, would you like me to take them and expand/translate/format them as needed?  I'd like to get this project wrapped up as soon as we can so Crafty can take a look at it and let us know what final tweaks we need to make.

If you're character is pretty much done, or just missing a few things and you just need an extra hand doing this or that on it, let me know.  I'm here to help however, and can easily gift wrap all this for the Crafty bunch as soon as I have the OK from the rest of you guys.

We just need the Pointman now, and the few characters already posted finished, and this undertaking will be complete!

Gotta say, we really appreciate all your hard work on this folks! We're confident it will be far from the last forum project. Smiley
