The Str/Wis suggestion was a good one, I had forgotten it in my last update.  As for bar-hopping, maybe it's the sources I checked (and maybe the fact that I had to check sources) but that sounds inappropriate (requires a group of people, only happens occasionally).  Actually, the "introvert pretending to be an extrovert" seems very fitting for Kurt.

I shall consider further, thanks for the advice though.

Since I'm at work tomorrow, and have no homework, I'll be cranking out another character for us to work on (gotta love being a student worker in the library!).   Hopefully there won't be any problems as we keep working.  We seem to be getting along pretty well here.  Although, I'm hoping to get a few more characters tossed into the mix before too long from the other forumites if at all possible.

As far as what we have already, do they seem to be what you are looking for?  Is there anything we can do to tweak them at all?  Stats aside, I'm thinking concept, theme, something we may want to showcase that hasn't been done yet... that sorta stuff.  What are everyone's thoughts so far, be it crafty gurus or otherwise?

So long as they fit in a wide variety of basic games, they're interesting to play, and they show off the system fairly well, we're happy. Smiley

As promised, here's the hacker:

Hacker

Name: Malcolm "Torrent" Torrez

Age: 21           Height: 6ft. 1in.           Weight: 150lbs

Distinguishing Characteristics: Wiry body concealed under baggy, well-worn clothing.  Shaggy Hair dyed black with electric green highlights.

Background: After being released from "Juvie" for hacking the state's criminal database when he was 15, Malcolm was required by law to never own or use a computer again.  Which landed him in even bigger trouble a few weeks later when he was caught once more.  This time however, his talents caught the eye of the Agency who found more constructive outlets for his talents.  Now, "Torrent" works closely with field teams by disabling security systems, hacking databases, and even scouting on occasion.

Talent: Orphaned (Bonus Action Die, Bonus Weapon Prof.)
Specialty: Thrill Seeker (forte Personal Ground, +5 speed, +1 acrobatics/athletics)

Str 10
Dex 12
Con 12
Int 16
Wis 14
Cha 14

BAB +1
Fort +4
Ref +6
Will +5
Init +2 (roll twice keep better)
Def 12
Action die 4d4

Class Abilities: L33t, Custom 'ware(*), Master Key I, Trap Door 1/mission

Weapon profs: handgun forte, blunt, hurled
Interests: Online Gaming, Reality TV, Rollerblading

Skills: Acrobatics/Sneak(6), Computers(9), Cultures(4), Drive(1), Electronics(6), Falsify(6), Investigation(6), Notice(6), Science(9), Security(6), Sleight of hand (6), Streetwise (1)

Focuses:
Cultures:North America, Southern Asia, Oceania, Western Asia
Drive: Personal Ground Forte, Personal Aircraft, Personal Watercraft
Profession:Ebay merchant
Science: Mathematics, Programing, Economy

Feats: Lightning Reflexes, Talented (Burglar), Pack Rat
Wealth: 10  L2, SC 2, P6
Mission gear: 1E, 1R +2 cha pics

Possessions:
2/III: Miniaturized Laptop Computer in Messenger Bag (PR 7*), EMP Hardening (Computer)
2/II: Miniaturized Flashbang grenades x3 (USB drives), Miniaturized Raid Jacket in Leather Trenchcoat
4/I: Miniaturized Lockpick Kit (Pocket Knife), Miniaturized Electronics Kit (Metal briefcase), Miniaturized Forgery Kit (Metal briefcase), Racing Motorcycle

Common Items:
Cellphone/PDA, 20 zip ties, Wireless Modem, Web Cam, Roller blades, Slim Jim Cardoor Opener, LED flashlight, IPod MP3 player, pack of cigarettes, Duct tape, Computer Printer/Scanner (portable), glass cutter.
Remaining common Item Picks: 7

Spending Cash: $400

Mission Gear:
Virus, Probe and Trace Software (PR 5)
FN FiveseveN w/ Precision Upgrade I, Reworked Action II, standard laser sight

I think he'll work for pretty much any situation.  I tried to give him a little extra focus in stealthiness, and made sure that he has lots of fun gizmos to bust out depending on the situation.  Decided against the bag full of guns as it requires people to use the book too much, so he gets a pistol instead.  I keep giving everyone FN FiveseveNs because if everyone in the party has a similar gun, then they can trade each other, and the stats won't be too difficult to worry about. (If everyone has the same toys, it won't be so bad if someone loses one)

Once you get done working on your Iconic here, copy it over to the Finished Iconics thread so we can have them all for easy access for the crafty bunch and ourselves.

Hey gaghiel,

The hacker is amazing! The flavor is perfect (love the USB flash grenades).

There are a few tweaks that you need to make though.

A desktop computer needs a power supply as it has no battery of its own. I would recommend using a laptop as it can be recharged from any power source anytime in game. If you are worried about the extra power rating, you could swap out a cal 2 pick for "Miniaturized gadget - Power Rating +1"

The Leather Trench Coat Raid Jacket is awesome, but it also comes with one upgrade. I would recommend the Nomex Underwear.

The kits in the printer/scanner and XBox 360 are clever and flavorful, but ultimately bulky and unwieldy. You already have a briefcase as a common item that is large enough to carry both the Electronics and Forgery kits. Alternatively (and very tastefully), you could spend your armor upgrade on a Shield Briefcase and put both kits into that. Picture shaggy hair Malcolm, leather trench coat, bag slung over his back, brief case in one hand, and the other hand in his coat pocket ready to draw the FiveseveN.

I also recommend changing his specialty to something more geeky, like "Geek". Geek would give a +2 bonus to Computers and Electronics checks (Techie feat) and +1 to Search and Security checks. It would better fit the idea of a criminal hacker. Your current specialty give a drive forte (you have 1 point in drive) and acrobatics and athletics which you don't really have good stats for.

Which brings me to suggest that you exchange the Acrobatics skill for the Bluff skill. It would be infinitely more useful.

Your hacker is great, don't get me wrong. These are just some tweaks that would make him iconic. You could also give him a bunch of illegally copied software for common items like: Windows Vista, AutoCAD, Spore, and similar things.

Keeping Thrillseeker/Acrobatics and all that good stuff, so he has a role on the team instead of just sit in the car and use the computer.  Those skills allow him to also be in the thick of things as a secondary intruder or replacement should someone not take him.

The personal Ground forte uses acrobatics/maneuver checks instead of drive so I really only gave him the one rank in drive so that he isn't unskilled entirely and could theoretically use something else should he need to.

fixed the kits and put them into the briefcase, and changed the computer to a laptop.  However, according to the base laptop, if you purchase that pick, you are supposed to get one for each team member.  If you miniaturized that pick does everyone get a miniaturized laptop as well?   Since its a laptop computer, should I even bother miniaturizing it?

I can see keeping the thrillseeker, but still there will probably be another intruder besides the hacker. I doubt there will be another hacker. I'm an advocate of multi-functional specialists, but they should be specialists first. I think you are sacrificing too much hacker potential for possible intruder that you don't even have the stats to back. Maybe a compromise is possible. I think the Bluff skill would be important to the hacker either way, but then the Personal Ground drive would suffer.

Miniaturizing a battery operated pick probably is a bad idea as the battery life is reduced. I would also rule that the intention for the laptops was only for the battery portion of the †. The each team member gets a radio portion of † is probably intended for radios only.

Heh, I like Bruce.  that's a funny one.  Right off the bat, I notice he has Playboy, which is one of the specialties that they said we should steer clear of.  None of the iconics are supposed to have access to the Personal lieutenant feat.  Perhaps Actor or something similar would fit?

Yeah, no problem!  I was having a hard time remembering what was on what page, so I figured I'd just pull them all out now that they are basically awaiting being put onto a page, and having all the numbers figured out finally.  If you have a format for them once we're done with this, I'll be more than happy to do all the computing and what not too.

I can always change his origin to make things easier... I missed the no Personal Lieutenant cavet, so its not a big deal, and since i use and auto calc sheet, can adjust accordingly, i will look through the book, and update in the mornin..

But Orphaned Playboy Slueth just screamed Iconic to me Smiley
